What is ICU?

Internet Christians United (ICU) was founded in the spring of 1998 in an attempt to bring people from around the world together. Christians and non-Christians alike find fellowship with each other through the ICU chatroom, e-group, and monthly newsletter.

The members of ICU are there to support you when you need it through prayer and petition to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [NIV])

We serve as God's messengers of the gospel of Jesus Christ to bring the world to him. (Romans 10:17: ...faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.)

We believe that Jesus will be coming back soon (I Thessalonians 4:15-18: According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.) and we are trying to win the world for Him so that as many people as possible can go with Him when He comes back for his people. God gives us the strength and courage to do so. (Philippians 4:13: I can do everything through him who gives me strength.)

We also believe that he will be returning to earth in physical form to set up his kingdom here on earth. (I Thessalonians 3:13: May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord comes with all his holy ones.)

We believe in Christ centered fellowship. (Hebrews 10:24-25: And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.)

We believe in the importance of bible education. (2 John 1:9:Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.)(2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.)

We believe in Christ centered outreach. (Matthew 24:14:And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.)
