Recipes from Scouts-L
The following recipes are good for Cub Scout Age youth. I have gotten them from the Scouts-L list. If you have any you wish to contribute feel free to contact me. I'll either add the recipe or a link to it.
Ziploc® Ice Cream
In a pint size Ziploc® freezer bag:
- 1/2 c. milk (any kind, even 2%)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
SEAL the bag.
Place in a one quart (or larger) Ziploc® freezer bag
Add to the larger bag:
- 2 Large handfuls of ice
- 6 Tbsp. of salt (reg or rock)
SEAL the larger bag. Shake and throw (not on the ground) until ice cream is
firm (about 5 mins.)
Ziploc® Pudding
- 1 small box of pudding powder mix (Jello® or ??)
- 4 oz. milk
Put both in a Ziploc® bag, seal, and squeeze until ready
to eat. To eat - snip a corner off the bag, and squeeze it
into your mouth.
If the pudding is too thick, then use less powder or a little
more milk.
Spoon Fudge (recipe from Scouts ListServ)
Group Size
- 1 Gallon Ziploc® plastic bag
- 1 lb. 10X Sugar
- 1/4 lb (1 stick) butter
- 1 3 oz. cube cream cheese
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4-1/2 c. cocoa
Single Serving Size
- 1 Sandwich size Ziploc® plastic bag
- 1/2 c. 10X sugar
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. cream cheese
- a few dashes vanilla
- 1/2-1 Tbsp. cocoa
Place all ingredients in bag. Squeeze out all the air. Squish & mush until all ingredients are well mixed and in a creamy consistency. Add any favorite flavors (raisins, M&Ms, peanut butter, etc.) Take out spoon and enjoy!
Make sure to note that people allergic to peanuts are also allergic to ALL M&Ms as the candy coating is made of crushed peanuts.
