MAZY FAMILY HISTORY
Over the last several years, I have really begun looking into my roots. I have gotten married and my husband, Larry and I had a baby girl last August. Family history has always been interesting and important to me. Until recently, I never knew who I was or where I came from. There are so many things that I want to find out, so many things that I wished that I would have asked before my grandparents passed away. I have met thousnads of people thru chats and mailing lists. I find everyone's efforts astounding. I have new found cousins and I hope to discover more on my MAZY heritage.
The Name MAZY has not changed throughout my line, but that doesn't mean that the sibblings of my ancestor haven't changed the name to Mazey, Massey, Masy, Mazie...etc. There is also another branch of MAZY's who came from Hungary and changed their name to Mazy at the turn of the century. They arrived in the New York area, as far as I have discovered. This is not the family that I have researched, nor is it the family on this page... I do have information on this family...just e-mail me and I will share what I do have.
The MAZY's are of French decent. The first MAZY traveled in the early 1700's to the United States from France. He landed in New Orleans in December of 1718 from a ship titled "La Dauphine". The "Concession de Sr.Mazy" consisted of 17 other people from all over France, including Tours, Paris, Corbeil, and Fontainebleau. He is the beginning of the MAZY line that I am researching in the United States. To this Day, there are Mazy's living in France, Belgium, and, of course, the United States.
The following MAZY names are names that I have come across and have some information on them...
