WELCOME!

Hello everyone!  Since I was last here, we have had such a time!  We dog sat for my husband's sister's Brittany Springer last weekend.  The kid's love her.  Her name is Euno and she is the sweetest dog ever!   She has more energy than the kids if you can believe that.  Anyway, our eldest son Jason, has 8 hamsters.  One large one, Fuzzle, and seven dwarf hamsters (I can't recall all their names).   Jason likes to have Euno sleep in his room, and well, yea, you guessed it........two of the dwarf hamsters escaped.  The next morning we found one dead, the other mia.  Euno left to go home the following day, and we still had not found the missing hamster, even after searching for what seemed endlessly.  Sometime after supper, Jason went into his room and she just all of sudden popped out of nowhere.  They are so small, I hope they never escape in the rest of the house.  We either keep the door closed, or we have a board that goes in on the bottom of the door.  The found hamster is doing well, and is currently residing with two of the other hamsters.  I'm not sure they get along to well, time will only tell.  That's enough excitement for the month.  Check back to hear more about the exciting tales of our life.

One would think that after the incident with the little hamster, that Jason would realize how
lucky he is to have all those little critters.  Which by the way was supposed to have been
only two dwarf hamsters.  About a week after we had them home, one gave birth to five littler dwarf hamsters.  What an experience that was.  Jason was in heaven.  But now that he has lost one of the babies to such a tragic end, he is inquiring about another pet.  Can
you imagine, seven hamsters and he wants more.  Except this time he's hinting at getting a gerbil, or get this, a mink.  Of course what he would really love would be a dog, so would the other two.  I think I'll settle for what we already have, 7 hamsters and 2 goldfish. Of course, a parakeet might not be so bad.  After all, I had experience with one for a pet a while ago................What am I, a glutton for punishment?  One would think so, but really I
just want my kids to have a childhood they cherish.  So check back to see if we get the parakeet or not.

Thought for the day

A Fence of Trust
Build a little fence of trust around today,
fill the space with loving deeds and
therein stay;
Look not through the sheltering bars upon
tomorrow,
God will help thee bear what
comes of joy or sorrow.
