I am beginning John Davies who married Ann Harris in Wales. They had a group of children baptized. Of this group is three particular children Owen (of later), John and Lewis. The later two seems to be the individuals also listed on a passenger list with Owen & his family.
On familysearch.org there is an entry of John Davies was born 15 Oct 1788 in Wales. He married Ann Harris 17 Aug 1806 in Glamorgan County, Swansea, Wales. She was born 1789 in Wales.

between the birth and the census records for Wales and Ohio there appears to be a problem, due to John's age he was very young for immigration in 1837 and then to be back in Wales for the 1841 census. So all though the numbers could be wrong, or this is a totally different person, I feel this should be kept in this record until we could prove different
Lewis Davies, born 06 Sep 1831.
There is an enumeration for a Louis David (age 39) in Columbus,Ohio in 1870,
Owen Davies (John1) was born 16 Oct 1823 in Davsuansyz, Swansea, South Glamorgan, Wales, and died about 1857-1858 (see note below about a death that was reported in Columbus). He married Keziah Hopkins Feb. 19, 1843 in Wales, daughter of William Hopkins and Margaret Mils. She was born 25 Jun 1825 in South Glamorgan, Swansea, Wales, and died 26 Aug 1905 in Columbus, Ohio 80yrs 1m 12d.
Notes for Owen Davies:
The Owen Davies Family originated in Morristown, Swansea, South Glammorgan County,Wales. Oral history for this family has been confusing. Based on information that I found, Owen and family came to Columbus early in 1852. He appears in the city directory for that year. There are records showing that Owen purchased real estate and sold them with his wife. Then the transactions stopped about 1857, this is when he may have made a return to Wales. About 1859 his widow and children are defendants in a case, pertaining to his last transaction. The rest of the history tells me that he was a representative for The South Wales Mining Company. Owen Davies Jr. by trade was a brick mason and assisted in building many buildings in Columbus that are still standing. The spelling of the name of Davies is the correct spelling, but some desendants changed to Davis.
I associated Owen Davies to the John Davies family due to being of the right age, and being located in the area of Owen Davies Jr birthplace.
