Mrs Mary Dunn Beggs of St. Louis received word this week that her husband, Pvt Geiald Lestei Beggs 22 son of Mr and Mrs Finus Beggs of Blodgett, is missing in action in Korea.
His wife received a telegram from tbe Defense Department yesterday informing her that her husband has been missing since August 18.
Pvt Beggs has been in Korea since June and was serving with a unit of the 45th Division.
He entered the service in January of this year. He received his "basic training at Fort Riley Kansas.
He was home on furlough in May after completing his training.
Born near Oran in December 1930, Young Beggs attended the public schools at Vanduser and Blodgett.
He was engaged in farming with his father before he entered the service.

READSBORO— Alphonso Bolognani, 71, native of Trentino, Italy, died Monday at North Adams Hospital, where he was taken by ambulance Sunday.

The funeral of Mrs. Carmela Enrica Bolognani, 72, of Main Street, Readsboro, who died Friday at the Albany, N.Y., Medical Center Hospital, where she had been a patient since June 22, was held Monday morning at St. Joachim's Church, Readsboro, where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial was offered.
Burial followed in Ihe family plot, Village Cemetery, Readsboro.
Mrs. Bolcgnani, widow of Alfonzo Bolognani, had been a patient at North Adams, Mass.,Regional Hospital before her transfer to Albany. She was born in the province of Tyrol, Austria, Feb. 7, 1903, to Francesco and Maria (Comai) Chislofolini and attendedschools there. She came to the U.S. in 1027 and had made her home in Readsboro for the past 49 years. Her husband died Sept. 9, 1963.
She leaves a son, Mario, with whom she made her home, three grandchildren, a sister Natalina Comai in Italy, nieces and nephews.

CLINTWOOD, Va. (Spl.)—Funeral for Lt. Clyde Fletcher, who died in a flash flood in Korea several months ago, will be held at Clintwood First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday.

ROCHESTER—Paul Spice, son of Sidney Spice and a graduate of the Akron high school is the latest victim of the Korean ' police action" in that community. Word of his death was received by his father in a telegram from the War Depart-
|ment which stated a letter would [follow giving details. Paul Spice was Inducted in the army October 16, 1951. He is the fourth fatality from the Silver Creek neighborhood near Akron.
Spice, Jesse Gagnon and Glen Day were inducted by the Fulton county Selective Service Board and Gene Gagnon who lived in Kosciuscko county was inducted by the
