Welcome to our 60th Anniversary party.

We had no intention of celebrating our 60th but John and Barbara insisted that we mark the occasion with a fitting celebration of some sort. They were going to take care of everything. However a couple of friends of ours said they would handle the catering and they prepared mountains of food that kept us going for days after the party. They borrowed a wedding picture from us and organized a cake with the wedding picture on it. The picture was edible too. I took on the job of making the invitations.

Here is the card:

And here is the cake!

I printed up a lot of pictures depicting our story from the time we met in 1941 until the present time. I stuck the pictures on sheets of bristol board and put them up on the wall.
Barbara organized certificates from the Queen. Prime minister of Canada, Premier of Ontario, Governor General of Canada and Governor General of Ontario. Mayor of Toronto. There were seven altogether. I framed these and put them on the wall too.

By scrolling up and down and sideways you will get a pretty good view of all the pictures.
The story starts when I arrived in Canada during the war. Then I was shipped to India after taking a course in the United States. Eva and I met up again in England in 1945 and married and started our family. After 7 years we came back to Canada and the story continues. You can probably get a better idea of how our lives evolved by checking the other links on this web site from the home page.
