Slow Me Down, Lord
Slow me down, Lord.
Ease the pounding of my heart by the quieting of my mind.
Steady my hurried pace with a vision of the eternal reach of time.
Give me, amid the confusion of the day, the calmness of the everlasting hills.
Break the tension of my nerves and muscles with the soothing music of the singing streams that live in my memory.
Help me to know the magical, restoring power of sleep.
Teach me the art of taking minute vacations--slowing down to look at a flower, to chat with a friend, to pat a cat, to read a few lines from a good book.
Slow me down, Lord, and inspire me to sink my roots deep into the soil of life's enduring values that I may grow toward the stars of my greater destiny.

Friendship
If your world seems upside down
And your face wears a frown,
Take the time to smile
It will be worth your while.
If all the problems of the world
Seems to be on your shoulders,
And you seem to do nothing but grow colder.
Stop and ponder,
And let your mind wander,
On only happy thoughts.
This way peace can be brought.
But if the sun has fallen from the sky.
And all you want to do is cry.
Just close your eyes.
And visualize me,
While thinking of these words,
I have wrote for you.
Come join me in flight
In seeking a guiding light
Together through thick and thin
We will stand together and grin.
We will forgive our enemies
And cherish your friends.
We will help the meek
And encourage the strong.
We will love thy neighbour
And do them no wrong
We will give hope to the young
And friendship to the old
Together we will stand bold
Until we grow weary and old.

Friendship Wish
Somewhere out there,
There's someone who needs a smile.
Somewhere out there,
There's someone who needs a touch of your hand.
There's someone who needs a kind word.
Some understanding.
Forgiveness.
A whisper of appreciation.
Somewhere out there,
There's someone who needs something to eat.
A place out of the cold.
A pair of warm socks.
Somewhere out there.
There's a soul who needs to be remembered.
Just remembered.
Even that will do.
As you live your life from this moment to the next,
Please think about those whose paths you cross.
Even if they stand right in front of you,
Take one little step that can,
And will,
Make all the difference in the world.
