younger Kidd stayed in Middlesex County with either Robert or Moses until they left.  Moses appears in Caroline County in March, 1733/4.  Apparently, Moses did not stop in King and Queen County.  Dirill stayed in Middlesex County until he moved to Caroline County in 1743.  Dirill married Mary Sorrow in 1735, and they had a son, James, born in 1736, and a daughter, Margaret, born in 1739.  Dirill appears in Caroline County on March 9, 1743/4.  It does not appear that Dirill ever sojourned in Kind and Queen County either.  Benjamin Kidd, the youngest of the sons, never left Middlesex County.  Benjamin married Judith Chowning in 1736, they had four sons born in Middlesex: George, born in 1737; Benjamin, Jr., born in 1739; Henry, born in 1743; and Chowning, born in 1745.  This accounts for all but three of the sons of William and Margaret Kidd, that is: John, born in 1708; Aaron, born in 1713; and James, born in 1716.

Because of their subsequent connection with the Martin and White lines, it is believed that John, Aaron, and James moved to King and Queen Count for a relatively short period of time before John moved to Albemarle (Goochland) County and Aaron and James moved on to Caroline County before eventually following John to Albemarle County.  Records in Albemarle County (then Goochland) shows that John Kidd appears with his future father-in-law Henry Farish in 1744.  James Kidd first appears in Caroline County on June 12, 1741.  Aaron Kidd first appears in Caroline County on August 15, 1747.

We can only speculate on the period of time that John, Aaron, and James spent in King and Queen County.  At most, the period of time would approximate no more that ten to twelve years.  This assumptin is based on the proposition that the three brothers left Middlesex in 1727 when their parents died and stayed in King and Queen County until around 1740.  Nonetheless, the Kidd's sojourn in King and Queen County had a profound effect on the rest of their lives and the lives of subsequent generations following them.

John Martin, the father of Mary Martin, who was the mother of Elizabeth White, who in turn was the wife of Webb Kidd, represented King and Queen County in the House of Burgess for a number of years.  John Martin received patents on lands on the Hardware River in Albemarle County.  More than likely it was the influence of John Martin that persuaded the three Kidd brothers to go to Albemarle County.  The Martins were friends of the Farish's in King and Queen
