Col. Sinclair was awarded A Silver Star for Gallantry in Action "against the Boxer forces at Yang-tsun, China, August 6, 1900, while serving as second lieutenant, 14th Infantry, United States Army." Awarded, pursuant to Act of Congress approved July 9, 1918, by the President of the United States of America, 15 June 1927. Signed by Dwight F. Davis, Secretary of War, Recorded in the Office of the Adjutant General and signed by Robert C. Davis, Major General, the Adjutant General.

This is a photo from The Galveston Daily News newspaper article (July 4, 1981) about him; for a period of years, Buzz did catch live sharks for the SeaArama that once was located in Galveston.
