Southwest Hole in the Barn
This block is to be made for turning
in to the September 1998 meeting. For as many blocks as you turn
in, you may put your name in for drawing all of the blocks out.
Please either pin a piece of paper with your name to the blocks,
or affix an address label. **Note: All seams are 1/4" seams.
Instructions
Block size will be 15 1/2"

Cutting
Southwestern Fabric: 5.5"
square for the center.
Black fabric: four 5.5" x 3" rectangles, two 5 7/8"
squares cut in half diagonally.
Solid or reading as solid fabric that coordinates with the southwest
center: cut same measurements as for the black fabric.
Assembly
Sew the rectangles together and
the half squares.
Assemble in rows.
