Block of the Month

For as many blocks as you turn in, you may put your name in for drawing all of the blocks out. Please either pin a piece of paper with your name to the blocks, or affix an address label. **Note: All seams are 1/4" seams.

Instructions

The main block should be made out of blues, greens, sky prints, garden florals, etc. The contrast corners should be dark drays or dark blues in plain fabric, and dark enough to produce a nice contrast and not blend in with the main block.


Main block: cut 5" squares of garden fabrics.


Contrast corners: cut 2" squares (four for each block) of dark gray or blue.


Put one contrast 2" square block over each corner of the 5" garden block. Mark diagonally from point to point with pencil or chalk. Sew on marked line.


Trim to 1/4" seam. Press.
