Block of the Month

For as many blocks as you turn in, you may put your name in for drawing all of the blocks out. Please either pin a piece of paper with your name to the blocks, or affix an address label. **Note: All seams are 1/4" seams.

Starry Night in Colorado

Instructions

Use a gold print for the star and a galaxy or night sky print for the background.


Cut 4 squares of the gold print 3 7/8 inches and one 3 1/2 inches.


Cut 4 squares of the galaxy print 3 1/2 inches and four 3 7/8 inches.


Cut the eight 3 7/8" background (4 ea) and gold (4 ea) squares diagonally and pair them up--one background triangle with one gold triangle--and sew them along the long side to form 4 squares. Place these pieced squares along with the other 3 1/2 inch squares in the positions you see in the picture above.


Sew together row one, then row two, then row three, and then assemble the three rows together to produce an unfinished block 9 1/2 inches square.
