Using computers to travel through cyberspace can be fun, but you should always remember the safety rules.
Before joining us on our Guest Page, please have an adult review the following rules with you:
ONLINE SAFETY PLEDGE
1. I will not give out personal information such as my full name, address, telephone number, work address/phone number of my parents/guardian, or the name/location of my school without the permission of my parents/guardian. While chatting online, I will use a made-up screen name.
2. I will tell an adult right away if I read anything that makes me uncomfortable.
3. I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents/guardian. If I am allowed, it will be in a public place with my parents/guardian present.
4. I will never send a photo or anything else without first checking with my parents/guardian.
5. I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me uncomfortable. It is not my fault if I get a message like that. If I do, I will tell my parents/guardian right away.
6. I will talk with my parents/guardian about setting up rules for going online. We will decide upon the time of day that I can go online, the length of time and the appropriate areas for me to visit.
7. I will not open email unless I know who its from.
I will not break these rules without their permission.
