SUMMER 2000

WHAT A SUMMER!

It was a busy summer for the Jones Family.  Karen received a promotion and is now the acting director of her office.  She also taught a class in research methods.  Tod made a lot of progress on his book.  He also spent time preparing for his fall classes. As these pictures show, we had fun too.

Stella and Dan Miller, Tod's parents, visited us in May.  There visit was short but it was so nice to see them.

WEST VIRGINIA

For the second year in a row, we celebrated our wedding anniversary in West Virginia.  Karen has friends who have a vacation home near Canaan Valley.  The area is beautiful!

David and Cindy's vacation home.

Grendel loves being able to
play outside without a leash.

Tod grilled a wonderful chicken dinner.  Of course, before using the grill he had to persuade the resident mouse to spend the evening someplace else.

JETHRO TULL

A few friends got together towards the end of July to see a Jethro Tull concert.  It was held at Wolf Trap, an federal park that holds outdoor concerts over the summer.  We had a picnic and listened to a great concert.
