Army Physical Training Corps





Raised after the Crimean War as the Army Physical Training Staff, then became the Army Gymnastic Staff (between 1860-1918). Under Army Order 165 of 1940 they became The Army Physical Training Corps.

The Army Physical Training Corps recruits its members from Physical Training Instructors already serving in the British Army. The Corps instructs soldiers in physical training and holds high international honours in sports and athletic achievments
