Tokyo today has twelve million population, and is the one of the world's industrial, commercial, and financial power house. And, Tokyo is remarkable international city too. In Shinjun, Roppongi, Shibuya, you will see lots of people from foreign countries, such as North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia, Arabs. It looks like New York in USA, or it is getting melting pot of culture & race. We may say young people in Japan are longing for Tokyo. Some of them are dreaming to be actress or actor, some of them are dreaming to be musician, some of them are dreaming to be rich man in business. Tokyo also still remains old Japanese culture like Kyoto. Tokyo was old capital of Japan from Edo period which is famous as Shogun's control. After Edo period, Meiji Emperor in 1868 came the rush for modernization and westernization that has made greater Tokyo a complex of traditional Japanese culture and international influence.
