Our primary purpose is to stay sober and
Help others alcoholic's Achive Sobriety.
I was in and out of AA for 22 years before I
Stayed sober , and by that time I was 52 years
Old . When I was sober for 5 years I got cancer
And was operated on a few times for the cancer
I was verry glad to be sober , and have a change
To fight it. I still have problems from it
That was changed my life for ever. I do know
There is nothing that will happen to me that a
DRINK will make better , thank my higher
Power for that.I have 5 kids 2 step kids and 13
Grand kids so far.July 14 /2004 I will be
SOBER FOR 12 YEARS GOD WILLING.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a
fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength
and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem
and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement
for membership is the desire to stop drinking. There are no dues
or fees for A.A. membership. We are self supporting through our
own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect,
denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not
wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes
any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other
alcoholics achieve sobriety.
