He began studying dance in Madrid in 1977 and two years later he joined the Mubra School in Brussels. In 1981 he became the principal dancer in Maurice Béjart's XX Century Ballet in which he took part in such dances as "La Consagración de La Primavera", "Bhakti", "Siete danzas griegas" (Seven greek dances) and "Petrushka". In 1986 he made his debut as a choreographer, created such dances as "Juego de damas", "Petrovsky's Pas-de-deux", "Angotan" and "Juego" which were performed for the first time by companies such as the XX Century Ballet, the Mudra and the Nice Opera. In 1987 he was awarded a prize in Madrid's First Choreography competition.
 
A year later he formed the group "Foros de Danza" with which he presented the show "Kaledira" in Madrid. In Segovia he performed for the first time the ballet "Romance". In 1989 he joined Lindsay Kemp's company where he performed the lead parts in "Flowers" and "Alice". In the same year he was awarded the Eduardo Moragas National Choreography prize.

In 1990 he created "Romance Amargo" with Joaquín Cortés for the Madrid Dance Festival and he choreographed "Rondena" for Lola Greco. The following year he joined the National Dance Company under which acted as the principal guest dancer.

For the Ballet Regina de Murda he created "The sheltering sky" based on the novel by Paul Bowles, with the participation of Antonio Marques, Joaquín Cortés and Julia Olmedo among others. With these last two dancers and Lola Greco he created "De amor y muerte" ('Of love and death') which was presented in the Teatro Albeniz in Madrid.

In 1993 he took part in the macroshow "Los divinos" which was transmitted from the PLaza Mayor in Madrid to over fifty-five countries along with Paco de Luda, Julio Bocca, Joaquín Cortés and Eric Vu-An among others. Later on he collaborated with Carmen Cortes' company in her show "Amor brujo" which travelled all Spain.
 
Last year he created "Orpheo" for the Teatro Nuovo de Turin company and he presented for the first time his choreography "La Escala".
