Comlongon Castle & Country House, Scotland

Comlongon Castle was the home of the Murrays of Cockpool. It is one of the few border towers that remain relatively intact and was considered one of the most sophisticated towers of its day. In 1900-02, a country house was built beside it. It is now a hotel specializing in weddings. Only the ground floor and the great hall are considered safe for visitors and it is only open to guests. The top right corner of the tower is supposedly where Marion Carruthers leapt to her death in 1570.
