Kimbolton Castle, England
Kimbolton Castle is mainly known as the place where Queen Catherine of Aragon, divorced wife of King Henry VIII, spent here last years. She died in what is now known as "The Queen's Room" in 1536. It was rebuilt from an older building in 1522-25 by Sir Richard Wingfield (son of Sir John Wingfield of Lethingham and his wife Elizabeth FitzLewis). It remained a Wingfield home until about 1600. It was considerably remodeled between 1690 and 1720 by the 4th Earl of Manchester. It has been a school since 1950 and is not presently open to the public.
