We bought Bear, our Newfoundland, from Mount Isa as a show dog but he was a monorchid and had OCD in the elbow. He has had an operation on his elbow and been desexed, we call him the 6 million dollar speed bump. |
Bear has a wonderful disposition and a magnificent nature although he snores louder than anything I've heard. I am sure he needs his adenoids done. He is a lovely big dog who we have constantly on diets that seem to make no difference to his girth. Currently we are steaming vegetables and trying that as a way to reduce his weight. Happy, friendly, gorgeous and completely useless. The cat thinks he is a fluffy cushion and Bear could not care less. The pictures show Roger grooming him. We live on twenty three acres, you would think that Roger could have done this job outside. |
Dam: Tjuringa Madam Lash DOB: 15 April, 1996 Wuff is our first Airedale Terrier, She has taught us all about the Airedale, from the way they completely ignore you calling them to the charming way they wake you up by rubbing their beard in your face. For the most part, regardless of the frequency of bathing, that beard holds a whole microcosm of flotsam and jestsam and once one realises what is happening to ones face, waking fully is fast from there. Wuff sits and begs, we never taught her she just started it all by herself, and she has taught us so much about the Airedale that she is a legend. Wuff constantly and disdainfully reminds us that we are slow learners. Airedales can charm, be aloof, love you and ignore you all at the same time. Wuff's desire to be at the bottom of the hole you are digging, or under the plant you are planting, or in the cupboard you are searching always amazes me. One minute she is no where to be seen the next she is in the middle of the middle. |
