When starting to learn about my father's family, I quickly discovered that my difficulty was not there were too few Ehrlichs, but too many. Every source book relating to Jewish genealogy would have at least a few. The Jerusalem phone book has almost a full column of Ehrlichs. Every month or so I receive an inquiry if I am related to such and such Ehrlich and my answer was that I have no idea.

The purpose of this Web page is to try to learn if there is a common origin to the new numerous Ehrlich familys and to provide a place to pool knowledge by those of us who are tracing the family tree of any Ehrlich family.

Ehrlich Family Atlas By mapping out the birth dates and places of Ehrlichs it might be possible to discover the migration paths of the family through East Europe. If these patters point to a common geographic area, that would be a strong indication of a common origin.

This is a unique and innovative project in Jewish genealogy. Please select the atlas site if you are interested in learning more.
