What is CLAW
I just surfed in and see this site that is all about cats. What is it all about anyway?
Claw is a place on the web where cats can come and learn to be cats, improve their skills, and meet new furriends. It is a club where members work together and enjoy themselves.
I like what I see when I look around. What all is there to do? What is the university business?
To start with, you can enroll in the Kittengarden or CLAW University and take a variety of courses to improve yourself and to learn how to control your humans. There are three graduation ceremonies a year. Just because you graduate once doesn't mean your education has to stop. You can always continue to take courses and earn other degrees. You can even propose a class and teach in the University if you so desire
Ok, so I can take classes and improve my mind and learn a bunch of new stuff. What else can I do?
Besides the classes, you can purrticipate in Groups and Guilds. These are places that have lots of activities for kitties and there are soooo many of them. The only problem is that sometimes there are too many to choose from and you can't or you choose too many and then can't purrticipate. Start off with one or two that really interest you and work hard in them. Then add another one and work it into you schedule. Be sure to visit ALL the groups; don't just go by their title.
I can take classes and I can purrticipate in different groups and activities. Can you tell me more?
We have message boards and product boards and purrsonals. We have socials and fun activities. We even have an ICQ board. There is also a CLAW Store where you can purchase stuff (totally optional). There are also links to other cat clubs that are on the web. Many of our members are in two or even more clubs. It just depends upon how much time they have to spend.
There is so much to do. What will this cost me?
That's the amazing part. There is no charge for this club. You can sign up and become a member and it is 100 percent free. It WILL cost you time, however. As you become more and more active in CLAW, you will find yourself spending more and more time there.
How do I join?
Go to the Join Us link and submit your request for membership. Your request will be considered and you will hear probably within a week.
Now that I have joined, where do I begin?
Wherever you want. Purrsonally I would recommend signing up for the three required classes at the University (or the Kittengarden) and take those. That will give you a good flavor of what we are all about. At the same time, I would nose around the different groups and select one or two that interest you and join up.
