Brother Petrus stood up and stretched. He forced out a yawn and opened his eyes. He could see Brother Jerome vigorously licking their mommy.

"Maybe if you jump on her stomach?" Brother Oswin stated before going back to gnawing on her fingers.

Brother Petrus jumped up on the bed. He extended his paws and began to assault her feet.

Their mommy started to stir.

"Meeeewwwww!" Brother Petrus ran across her chest and nuzzled her.

Brother Oswin made a beeping noise and continued to nibbling.

"I'm up." Their mommy whined as she slid out of bed.

"Can't I sleep in just once!"

"Were hungry! Are you going to let us play with the rodent today? Will you wind up the mousy? Can I ha-"

"Brother Petrus, You know she can't understand I word your saying. So why do you persist? Every morning you do this."

Brother Petrus laid down and batted at Brother Oswin's tail.

"Why do you always have to be so negative. She likes it when we talk to her."

The Brothers heard a rattling sound. They leapt to their feet and followed their mommy into the bathroom.

They circled their dishes and purred.

"Yes, we see that you can shake the food container. That's cute. Now feed us!" ~Like that will do any good. She can't understand me. Maybe if I run over to my dish and knock it towards her she will feed me~

Brother Petrus ran over to his dish and butted it with his head. A small wave of water splashed up over the side drenching his face. He gasped and lept back.

"Not Funny!" He hissed angrily at the two laughing kittens.

"Hey! I can clean my self thank you... Don't rub so hard! Your messing up my fur. I don't need your help...Arrr!"

"Do you really think she is suddenly going to grasp the consept of our language?"

"NO, but I would like to see you sit still and be quite when she is rubbing you with...with what ever this thing is.

She picked up the food dishes and placed them on the counter. The Brothers could hear the food rattle as it struck the dishes.

~Food! At last!~

"No, Brother Petrus, you can wait till I put the dish on the floor."

"I can't believe she tossed me off of the counter! Why can't we eat up their an-Get out of my way!"

*Smack Chomp Gobble Gulp*

"Brother Petrus! Slow down! One of these days your gonna choke!"

"I wouldn't have to eat fast-*Chomp Smack Gukp*-if Brother Jerome didn't try to steal my food!"

*Chomp Gulp*

*Hisss*

"Sorry, Brother Oswin, You stopped eating. I figured you were done."

"I was talking to Brother Petrus about a certain food swiping kitten! Go eat the food out of your own dish!"

"Then when I'm done I can have some of yours?"

*Reowl*

~What a crouch!~

Soon they had finished their food. They looked around but could not see their mommy.

"I have to Find her so she can scratched my ears."

"I think she went back to sleep."

Brother Petrus sighed and ran to her door.

*Mew Reowl Merowl*

"Brother Petrus, stop that! she looked tired, Let her sleep in. Here, I will scratch your ears."

Brother Jerome pinned the smaller kitten under him and gnawed at his ear.

Brother Oswin went into the kitchen and hopped on top of the counter. He weaved his way behind the microwave, across the stove, and over to the sink. With a clean upward swipe of his paw he turned on the water.

He had barely gotten his paw wet when Brother Petrus knocked him aside. Brother Petrus stuck his head into the stream of water and began to lap it up.

Every now and again Brother Oswin would stick his paw in the stream drenching it. Then he would lick the water from his fur.

After a few minutes, Brother Petrus hopped down and walked away. Brother Oswin followed. He glanced back at the running water. ~Maybe I should turn it off. Nah! the others might want to play with it later.~

They found Brother Jerome on top of an old stool. The cover had been worn away exposing a fluffy cushion. He was intensely kneading it. He tilted his head back and yawned.

"Any one else feel like a nap?"

"I am and by the way Brother Petrus is stretching out I guess he is too." "I am not ti...tir....

After yawning several times Brother Petrus laid curled up on the floor.

"Not there! People will step on you! Come on, we should find a nice, dark, quit place to sleep.

They ran to the basement. The kittens went their own way. Each looking for a suitable place to nap.

~This old blanket looks good. Soft, fluffy and a chew toy. Scratch this idea. Wonder if the others found anything~

*Grrr*

"Good, I have your attention. I noticed your interest in my blanket. I don't care if you sleep on it. I currently am using a differnt bed. But I insist you remove all of my toys."

"Here!" The kitten knocked the squeaky toy over the edge. When it his the floor they heard it make a high pitch squeal.

"I have a some more buried in the blanket. Stand back! I'll get them."

The dog jerked up and down several times and jumped.

~He can jump that high!~

"Mine, mine, mine; Oh, I forgot I had this one and mine."

"Actually, Koch, I think that bone belongs to Wolf."

Koch snarled and showed his fangs.

"I am the lead dog. I will decide what does and does not belong to him! I have found all my toys. You may us my blanket."

Koch jumped down and carried his toys off.

Brother Oswin ran off to find the others. He rounded the corner to see them twisting around in an empty close basket.

"Come my fellow kittens. Leave that cold hard basket. I found a warm blanket in which we may sleep."

"The might hunter has triumphantly returned!" Declared Brother Jerome.

After reaching the blanket, the Brothers began to circle among the folds. Finally, they curled up together and went to sleep.

About forty minutes later Brother Jerome began to stir. He wiggled out from underneath Brother Oswin and streatched. ~I am the first one up. I get first pick of the toys!~

He jumped down and walked into the hallway. Then he walked up the stairs, into the living room, behind the chair...GONE!?! Brother Jerome saw Wolf nibbling on something.

"What?" The dachshund asked.

"My toy is gone. My beloved 'Chip' the Beanie Baby toy that only I really love to play with is gone!!" He eyed the thing Wolf was nibbling. "That isn't it...is it?"

"No! This is a tasty chewy treat. And you are not the only one who likes to play with 'Chip'. The other two kittens would like too, but you throw such a tissy fit whenever they touch him!"

"I do not!"

"Do to! Now before you go balistic; are you cetain you haven't misplaced him?"

"Have you ever misplaced a bone?"

"Sorry, Didn't mean to insult you. Unlike people we are intelligent enough not to loose our things."

"You don't think one of the other kittens...they wouldn't dare! ... Koch could be playing with him?"

"Koch plays!?!" Wolf's voice dripped with sarcasim as he glared intentsly at Brother Jerome.

"All right! Knock it off! But he does like to horde toys."

"Correction! He likes to hord my toys. Kitten toys hold no interest for him. That reminds me. I had better find a good place to hide this treat before he gets it."

With that the dachshund picked up his treat and trotted off.

"I'm up!" Brother Oswin growled as he swatted at Brother Jerome.

"Good, Now tell him that you know were 'Chip' is so I can get back to sleep." Mewed a sleepy Brother Petrus.

"Chip? I haven't touched him."

"Haven't touched him. Someone had to have touched him. He didn't walk off on his own! Maybe the people got rid off him! Maybe the dogs chewed him up! Maybe he got tor-"

Brother Petrus leapt off the table and scurried out of the room. He had abandoned any hope of going back to sleep. ~Brother Jerome can be so emotional. I would never lose my composture like that.~

He trotted into the laundry room.

~Hey were is it?~ Brother Petrus ran to the crevice between the dryer and washer. ~I know I stashed it here.~ He stretched his paw into the crevice...nothing. Then he started to dig through the laundry baskets. ~Maybe someone stuck it in that basket.~ Brother Petrus jumped up on the laundry table and knocked the basket on the floor. The clothes tumbled out. He dug through them.

Brother Petrus came bolting into the bedroom.

"It's gone!!" He wailed.

"I know! I looked every where!"

"Forget Chip! It's gone my blue fluffy catnip mousy is gone. I looked everywhere!"

"Really you two. Have a little dignity the humans will buy you new toys." Brother Oswin laid down and began to groom himself.

Then he curled up on the floor and watched in amusement as the other two kittens tore about looking for their favorite toys.

~This is starting to bore me...I know I'll play wih my string. Now I know a piece of it is hanging down here...or was it here...no must be here...?~

Brother Oswin lept on top of the dresser and began knocking things off. "I put it here last night. Just before I want to sleep."

"Lose something?" Hearing a familer voice, he looked down.

"Give it back! I'll help you look for Chip."

"I didn't steal your string!" He was hurt that Brother Oswin would say such a thing. How could Brother Oswin even think that he would bother with string when Chip was missing!

"I don't know why your so upset. Let me give you some advise that a certain kitten once passed onto me: Have a little diginity Brother Oswin the people will buy you new string."

"New sting! I don't want new string. I want my string. The one I have masterfully chewed and shredded to perfection."

"I think I found something." The two kittens ran towards the voice.

An instant later they bolted around the corner and crashed into Brother Petrus.

"My Chip!?!" Brother Jerome yelled.

"My string!?!" Brother Oswin cried as he looked franticly about.

"No! Look at this." Brother Petrus pointed at the back door.

"Big deal the people forgot to shut it after letting the dogs out."

"I was referring to the prints in the snow, Brother Jerome."

The other kittens examend the prints. Indeed they were cat prints.

"At first I thought one of you had gone out. Don't know why any kitten would? Snow," Brother Pertrus shuddered,"Then I noticed the prints were to big to be made by any of us."

A reddish flash whizzed passed them.

"Wait!!" The three kittens cried out in unisen.

"I have to go! Can't this wait?"

"But you'll trample our only clue." Brother Jerome pointed at the prints.

"Wolf sniffed ot the prints. ~Looks like Brother Petrus's prints only much bigger.~ Hey fellows, remember when he tried to sneak out a few weeks ago?"

The two kittens chuckled. In their minds they could see that expresion of digusted shock on his face.

"You kittens had better follow them. The falling snow is already beging to cover up the trail."

Brother Oswin stepped crept outside being extra careful not to tramble the trackes.

Brother Jerome followed.

"Come on Brother Petrus." said the other kittens.

He scrounched down into pouncing form. After several intense moments of wiggling his haunches and flicking his tail, he leapt outside.

"Arg!" He cried as he kicked the snow from his paws. Only to put them back down and have them covered in snow again.

Every other step Brother Petrus had to stop and shake a paw. The other kittens and the dog grinned at him.

So they drudged onward. The Brothers with their noses close to the tracked and Wolf off to the side.

Wolf didn't beleive they would actually need him. They were intelligent resourceful kittens who could take care of themselves. Still, wolf was a dog. Like all dogs he felt a need to protect the members of his home.

"Hey Wolf, You know that bone you lost."

"Koch?"

"Right, he had it stored in that old blanket downstairs. Let me and the others sleep on it. Course, he moved the toys first. I saw him drag it into the den. You might want to try searching there."

"Thanks, Brother Oswin!" They followed the trail around the old maple, across the yard, and to the chain link fence. The trail continued on the other side.

~Maybe I could dig...Nope, the ground is frozen solid~ Wolf shook the snow from his coat and headed for home "You guys are on your own. Be careful!"

"We will." The Brothers mewed back.

Wolf sighed as he saw mischevious grins creep onto their faces.

The Brothers followed the trail across three yards. Their timing could have been better. If Brother Petrus didn't keep stopping every other secound to shake the snow from his paws. Then of coause The Brothers had to stop for primping and cleaning. They had to look their best. They were in fact kittens you know!

At last they reached the end of the trail. An old run down shed in the dark corner of a yard.

The shed was slightly concealed by thorn trees, and it's once lusterious paint had long since faded. All that was left were a few scattered chips of white and red.

"My Blue catnip mousy!" Brother Petrus squealed joyfully.

He ran into the shed and saw a set of sharp teeth spring towards him.

Brother Owsin leapt over Brother Petrus, knocked over the attacker, grabbed Brother Petrus and ran off.

The creature chased the Brothers out of the yard. He watched the three disapear from sight then smirked to himself.

"Why did we run? Oh! fearless leader! I could have takin him!"

"Brother Petrus, We have no way of knowing how may cats are in that shed. It's dark and full of crevices. We will wait and evaluate are situation and the enemy before acting."

The Brothers crept back toward the yard. Then the door to the house opend. "Oh! My little snookems. Did those mean cats scare you? Yes they did! Trying to steal my little cuddles toys. Don't worry. I will call the pound and they will haul those meanies away."

"His toys! We're mean! And Hey, We're Kittens!" Brother Jerome hissed.

Brother Oswin swatted at him "Be quite or she'll find us."

The Brothers watched as the women gathered all of their toys. She placed them in a box. "Now, those mean nasty cats wont be able to get your toys. Now go to sleep my precious Peaches. In about an hour mother will get up and let you in. Your toys will be waiting for you in the morning. And just in case they decide to come back and bother you again I'll let little Tootles out...Here Tootles! Where is mothers baby boy? There you are! Now go outside and keep those filthy strays away from Peachies." The woman took the box inside and shut the door.

The Brothers hearts sank. How were they going to get their toys now?

Peaches walked out of the shadows. The Brothers couldn't believe that this animals was suppose to be a cat! What an ugly creature! His fur was matted and his paws covered in muddy. Numerous burs and twigs were tangled in his coat. They wondered if Peaches ever groom. The Brothers looked at the food splattered all over the place. It appeared he lacked appropriate table manners too.

The Brothers watched in silence as their enemy trotted across the yard and hopped the fence.

"He's leaving. Good! Now all we have to do is figure out a way into the house." Brother Jerome headed for the fence.

"What about little Tootles?"

"Who cares! I want my Chip. I don't see anyone. Lets just grab our stuff and go!"

He climbed over the fence.

The others followed. A giant slobbering monster with sharp teeth appeared from nowhere. One word crossed their minds.

~GERMANSHEPARD!!~

They quickly scrurried back over the fence.

"What kind of sick person names a monster like that Tootles

"Easy, Brother Oswin, the same kind that named that evil cat peaches!"

"Come on," Brother Jerome walked back towards home with his head down,"Like you told us Brother Oswin. The human will buy us new stuff."

"Get back here. I haven't givin up yet! Help me think."

"I know I can give that woman lickity kisses and she will fall in love with me. Then she will give us back our stuff. She may even give us some treats and a few more t--What? You guys are looking at me like I flipped!"

"Brother Jerome, I don't know how to tell you this but...your tonge... it...er..."

"What Brother Oswin is trying to tell you is that your tounge his the texture of fossilized sandpaper!"

Brother Jerome laid down in the snow and moped.

"You just had to tell him!"

Brother Petrus lifted his paw and shook it. "He had to find out eventually, Brother Oswin." Then he shook another paw. ~Maybe, if I lay on my back~ Brother Petrus rolled over. "Finially! Now I can get this stuff off my paws. He shook them vigerusly.

They consentrated on a plan.

After several minutes Brother Petrus lept to his paws and cried "AH! Snow!!" He rolled onto his back and shook his paws. "I've got an idea." The other two gathered around and listened to his plan.

Mean while Peaches was back at the Brothers' home. "Fools, while they try in vain to get pass that dog, I shall steal more of their toys."

Peaches glanced across the room and noticed a pink object with a feather attached to it. ~Definitly a kitten toy.~ He pounced on the object and picked it up.

He glanced around the room and noticed a cage in the corner. ~This will make a fine vantige point.~ He leapt on top and began looking around.

"Cheep Chit Cheerr!!"

The evil Peaches looked down through the bars. ~A guinea pig! Indeed, this is an unexpected treat.~ He reached through the bars and spent the next few minutes swatting at the little creature.

"Cheep Chit Chit Chirp!!"

(Peaches had no idea what she was saying. Felines were incapable of understanding rodent speech and vise versa.)

~I'm tired of playing with this thing. I will search fo more toys. Lets see: A green catnip mouse, a wined up mouse, a ball with catnip inside ,a bone, a fluffy re-A BONE!!~

Peaches nervesly looked about the room. A bone could only mean a dog! He flicked his tail nervely about. It dripping down into the cage.

"Yeowl!"

He looked at his tail. ~I'm bleeding! That little pest!~

Peaches hissed and jumped on top of the cage.

"Get out of that corner you little rat!" He shoved his claws into the cage.

"Chip! Chirtt! Chirtt!!"

*Grrr!*

Peaches looked down to see a small dog. It looked like a Yorkshire terrier. An old chubby one with short fur.

"You scared me. I thought I heard a dog!"

Now Koch was the first of the pets the family had owned. He had been spoiled rotten. As you can guess he was not too thrilled when they brought that dachhound 'Wolf' home. Then the guinea pig, and to top it off those three kittens. He hated no longer being the center of attention. Those animals had been brought into the home by his masters and he had to except them. This cat however was an intruder.

*Grrr!*

"Na! Na! De' old chubby pooch can't get Meehee!"

"OW!"

Peaches Jumped off the cage. "Die rodent!" He hissed.

He looked up to see a snarling mass of dark fur and sharp teeth coming towards him. Peaches dropped the toy he had and ran outside. Koch chased him across the yard and over the fence. "And stay out!" He snarled.

Wolf trotted over to the Guinea pigs cage.

"Aristede?"

"Go away!"

"Little Piddy Girl. We need your help. The Brothers had their toys stolen. They found these tracks in the snow and followed them. They found the toys but theres a problem. Brother Petrus thought of a plan. But they need our help. So they Sent Brother Jerome back home to get us. He found me outside and told me the plan. Then he went to join the other kittens. I found you. So will you help?"

"I don't care about their silly toys!"

"See there's this mean cat and he-"

"Cat! A ugly one with stuff stuck to his fur and muddy paws."

"Yes, sound like him. How did you-"

"Never mind I'll help!" She kicked the door to her cage and it swung open.

Wolf looked at her with amazment.

"Come now really. Did you think I couldn't figure out how to get out of that ridicules cage. Not that I would want to with all those kittens running about. I still can't believe you can understand all that jabbering of theirs"

"You know the have made similar remarks about you an several ocasions." Wolf chuckled. Then delicatly clamped Aristede between his teeth and walked off.

They came to the gate.

"The kittens said you should be able to open it." ~They must have over dosed on the catnip or something. If she can open that gate I am a Rotweiler!~

Aristede neck tilted all the way back as she looked up at the giant structure."

"You can open it?"

"Coarse I can! I am a rodent. My kind can open anything." She began to climb up through the chain links. Finnally she reached the latch."

"Now this slides into this, and this sping is attached...uh hu."

Wolf laid down. ~And this is silly and that will never work~

She wiggled her body down into the mechanisms and twisted the spring. The gate popped open.

"Are you just going to lay there and drool?"

"You did it! But how? I've been trying forever to open that gate! You didn't, I mean you can't, I...er...."

"We will discuss it latter. Lets go before I freeze." He picked her up in his teeth and ran off to meet the Brothers.

"We thought something went wrong!" Brother Petrus squealed.

Aristed scrurried out of Wolf's jaw and climbed onto his back.

"Don't move so fast. You know how uneasy she is around you guys."

"She is going to help?"

"Yes, Brother Petrus. She hates this cat. Seems he snuck back into our home to steal more of your toys. He found Aristead and teased her. Koch found him and chased him out of the yard.

"How dare he go back to our home!" Brother Oswin hissed ruffling the fur on his back.

Brother Jerome suddenly darted off, he lept in the air, twisted around a few times, then retured.(All kittens had an urge to act this way every so often. Its any ones guess as to why.) He spoke "I don't think he will return any time soon. Sounds like Koch scared him good."

"Wolf, did you explain the plan to her?...good!"

Wolf with Aristede riding on his back walked up to the gate leading to the enemies yard. Aristed climbed the gate and worked on the latch till it popped open.

"Hey! You!"

Tootles came running out of his doghouse.

"Yeah! You ugly! I was wondering if you would like to see me chew on this." Wolf tossed the chew toy down and began gnawing on it. He did keep an eye on Tootles. He was brash not stupid!

"Give me that bone! You runt!" Tootles snarled and showed his teeth.

"Mmmm! Tasty, I would let you have a nibble, but my mommy told me never to share with a slobbering brainless twit!"

*Grrr* "If that gate wasn't protecting you, I wo-"

"Gate! What gate?" Wolf kicked the gate. It swung open.

Tootles charged. Wolf turned and ran.

The Brothers stared off into the distance for a moment.

"Come on! Wolf is clever enough to handle himself. Besides we have it all figured out."

"But Brother Jerome, what if Koch-"

"He'll be fine, Brother Petrus, And I'm sure Koch can keep up his end of the bargain."

"Bargain?"

"He only agreed to the plan if I promised him none of us would pounce on him for a few month."

"Fair enough, Now lets hurry. That twisted cat might return at any moment." Brother Oswin climbed over the fence and the other two kittens followed.

Tootles had been chasing the dachshund for several minutes. He could hear wolf barking to another dog. They were trying to lead themselves to each other. ~Are they dense! That other dog is small. I can tell be that pathetic yap of his. Sounds real old too.~

"That's right find your little friend. Then I can rip both of you to shreds!"

"Koch! He's gaining!"

"That big white building! The one with the Large tree that cracked and fell during the storm. Head around back. I'll meet you there!"

Wolf darted around the corner.

Tootles followed.

"No!" The big dog screamed. Too late the loop had gone around his neck. He fiercely struggled.

"Come help me! This one's mean!"

Another man rushed over and muzzled Tootles.

"We got a call about three stray cats. But instead we find three dogs. Strange! Want to keep looking?"

"Nah! I've looked all over. Haven't seen a single cat. We'll wait to see if anyone else complains."

"Look cute."

"What, Koch?"

"Just do exactly what I do."

The two men heard pathetic little whines and looked down at the two small dogs.

"Aww! The big dog scared them. Look the little fellows are shaking all over."

"They have tags on...I know that address. It's not that far from here. I'll take them back and see if I can find out what happened."

The man put the dogs into two small cages. Then placed them in his truck.

Peaches returned to see a brown tabby sitting in his shed.

"What happened to Tootles!" He hissed at the intruder.

"Tootles? You mean that snarling, drooling, half-witted beast, "Brother Oswin streached then stood, "He left. Good thing he did. I really like it in here."

Peaches watched in rage as Brother Oswin scrapped his claws across the scratching post.

Peaches hissed and charged towards him.

Brother Oswin laid down and began grooming his tail.

Peaches leapt into the air, claws extanded, lips curled back and fangs bare.

Suddenly Peaches saw a thorny branch whip out in front of him. It struck him sending him tumbling backwards. The Brothers heard a dull thud when he struck the tree.

"Oh! I am terrible sorry. I swear the branch just slipped."

He scrammbled to his feet and charged at the kitten.

At the last possile moment Brother Jerome lept out of the way.

The evil cat slid across a patch of ice, and crashed against into the back wall of the shed. He heard a scrapping noise and looked up to see a box falling towards him.

"We got him!" Brother Petrus mewed happily as he leapt down from the leadge. The wooden box was full of holes, but none were big enough for Peaches to get through.

"I am going to kill the three of you!"

"Chirp Chip Chitter!"

"NO!"

"Chitter Chirp Chink"

"Yeeowwl!"

"Chinter Chip"

"Owwrrr!! Stop that you filthy beast!"

Peaches tried to get Aristede but it was hopeless. The box was to small. He didn't have enough room to manuver around to get her. Aristede poked her head through a holes and tore out more of his fur.

The lights turned on, the door swung open, and the evil cats mother walked outside. The Brothers and Aristede hid.

"My precious pookems whats wrong!"

"You left the door open you idiot!" (Of course humans can't understand cat speech so his warning went unheeded.) "They are getting into the house!"

"Aw did sweetems get trapped under the boxy woxy. Mother will help her fluffikins. Oh! Yes she will!"

"Stop grinning at me you little pests!" Peaches hissed.

"They're carring the box across the yard. Look! LOOK!!"

"You'll have to wait pumpkin. Your mother doesn't want to slip on all this ice."

The Brothers dropped the box at the gate entrance. Then grinned mischievously at Peaches. They extended their claws and waived. Then the Brothers trotted off with the box.

When they got back home they found the gate and the door still open. The box was carried inside the house. There bravery and quick thinking had paid off. For not only did the box contain their toys but many others as well. But they knew what they wanted.

At last, My string!" Brother Oswin squealed.

"My blue catnip mousy!" Brother Petrus cried.

"Chip!" Brother Jerome declared happily.

Brother Oswin mere Ossy t Beeper...Brother Jerome RRRRRRomy mere RRRRRRomy...Brother Petrus Trusy TTTTiny Little Porsions tum mere. The Brothers grabbed their toys and ran towards the voice. "Oh! I thought you got out! Someone left the door open. They saw their mommy cast a dark glance to one of the other people. This woman mumbled something and shrugged.

"The guinea pigs out!"

Aristede saw a hand swoop down.

"Got her!"

*Chitter Chink*

"Here you go piddy girl."

~Lettuce, carrot, and a slice of tomato!~

*Nibble crunch*

DING! DONG!

"Excuss me bu-"

"Wolf! Koch!"

"I take it they're yours. The back gate was opened. But I strongly suggest you keep them inside. It's really cold."

"We do keep them inside. Someone," The woman throws a cold glance at the others, "Left the gate unhinged and the door opend."

"I did not!" one of them protested, "I left the door open. But I haven't touched the gate. Must have been...her!"

"Me! I'm not-"

"Don't start! I don't care who left it open just make sure someone shuts it from now on!!"

"A German Shepard was chasing the Dachshound when we found him. Don't worry. We checked the little guy out. He's fine. Here you go. Just make sure someone keeps the gate shut from now on."

He gave the woman the dogs and left.

"We were a bit worried." Brother Petrus called to them through clenched teeth. (He wasn't about to let go of his blue catnip mousy)

"The box of toys is in the kitchen. Go look!" Brother Jerome told them. Then he picked up Chip and continued parading around with him.

The two dogs trotted in to the kitchen.

"A Really big meaty raw hide chew bone!" Wolf barked as he snatched it up in his jaws. He had to struggle but managed to drag it out of the box. He couldn't help but notice Koch eyeing it. He snarled at the Yorkshire terrier.

"Come now, Wolf. There's no way I would be able to drag that thing off. I'll simple wait until you leave. Then I'll nibble on it." Koch grinned baring his teeth.~Now lets see if I can find anything of interest.~

"Ruber squeeky chew toy!" Koch happily barked as he dragged the thing out of the box.

"We thought you guys would like them. What luck the woman kept her dog's toys in with the cat's." Brother Oswin purred then jumped up to swatted at his string.

"I kinda doubted your plan." Wolf repositioned the bone and continues to gnawed on it. "But it worked. You three are brilliant!"

"Aren't they clever piddy girl?"

"For kittens? Yes! And tell them thanks for my nice soft fur bed." With that Aristede layed down on her new cat fur bed.

"She says thanks for her bed."

"Think Peaches's fur will grow back anytime soon?"

All of them looked at Brother Petrus and chuckled as the thought of what their enemy must look like.

Although all the pets in this tale are true... this adventue has been a work of fiction. The Brothers are inside kittens and do not go outside. The guinea pig would have froze for sure, and even though Wolf might have cooperated. I am sure Koch would have bore his teeth, snarled, and left to be alone with all of his toys. Contrarier to the potrayal of the German Shepard in this story most are not dimwitted mean bullies who attack anything that moves. And be asured that both the mean Toodles and the evil Peaches are completely made up. You have nothing to fear!!

Chip is a Beanie Baby made by Ty.

The names of the kittens aka The Brothers in this story were derived from the Cadfael series.

However this story has actually nothing to do with the Cadfael series. The kittens were meant in no way reflect the characters they were named after. If any conection can be found it is purly coincidently. I am making no money off of this story. It simple was written for amusement.
