One dark, slow night in the chat room a set of cyber twins was born. They were such a surprise to their mother. You see she was not even aware of the cyber marriage to the father of the twins. It seems she had slept through the marriage, birth, and divorce in cyberspace. It was a sad thing, that divorce, but there was no help for it. You see he was in Boston, MA and she in Huntsville, AL. They could eventually see it was just a matter of distance. But the twins were surely worth the entire hassle.
Everyone knows they are just the cutest kids in cyberdom. Ota, however, is just a bit much to handle. She learned to speak very early. Her mouth had to be washed out with soap after her very first word. Toy is pretty much the opposite until Ota leads him into trouble.
They are absolutely amazing children. They are able to change their ages to fit the situation. I guess that is due to their being cyber kids. They have always been very self-sufficient. Right after they started walking their mother decided to leave them alone and go to Texas for a few weeks. They were just fine. I will have to say the mother is a very relaxed parent.
Once they decided to walk to Boston to visit their father. They got as far as the truck stop at the corner of Walk and Don't Walk. They hitched a ride with a truck driver who was heading north. They were cold and tired and immediately fell asleep. When they woke they were in Toronto, Canada. US Officials at the border would not let them back into the States without their birth certificates. They finally went to the local library, got into a computer, and sent themselves via e-mail straight to their father's house.
They had a really good time there until it came mealtime. Their father wanted to feed them Jungle Puppy dog food and Boston Baked Beans for desert. They begged for Southern Salty dog food, the maggot free variety and Hush Puppies for desert. Their father was adamant and would not change his eating habits. This made them angry, so they left. They moved in with another truck driver, Shifty Gears. Ota cleaned house and cooked for their room and board. Their father thought Ota was living with him, not true though. Toy became an assistant to the Mayor of Beantown. He got fired the second day on the job when he admitted he hated beans. That is when they decided to come home to Alabama.
However they still had itchy feet. This time they decided to visit Mexico. They enjoyed this trip very much, at first. They even wanted to change their names to Ed (Short for Edwardo) and Sel (Short for Selina). I admit it was hard to start calling them Ed & Sel. In fact I did not, they are still Toy and Ota to me. But the one thing they did not like about Mexico was the food. They ate lots of refried beans in Mexico. Beans again!! They just could not handle that. So they came home once again.
They seemed to settle down this time. They even enrolled in the University of Alabama at Huntsville. However, it did not take them long to get bored once more. This time they joined the circus. They are now in training, Toy as a lion tamer and Ota as a trapeze artist. They are currently in Florida at winter quarters.
