CURT & CRAIG'S
SKYDIVING PAGE

" LET'S BOOGIE "

I am the mother of two sons Curtis, aged 31, a Chiropractor in Millington, Tn.... and Craig aged 26, a career fire fighter in Marion County Fl.. Both of my sons are avid and dedicated "No fear skydivers" and while I am scared to death I am proud of them for having the courage to do it!!! This page is dedicated to them and to all of you who enjoy this sport.

   Updates: Since beginning this page
Curtis has retired from the sport to
focus on his practice and family.
He still has a great love for the
sport and wants to return to it when
his sons, now 1 & 3 are old enough to
go too.

   Meanwhile, Craig has continued to
jump as often as he can and now has
nearly 300 jumps to his credit.
He is a jump master now and spends
most of his free time at the dropzone
either teaching new jumpers or jumping
himself.
I have long since gotten past the
"paranoid mother" stage of asking him to
call me as soon as he left the zone in
one piece. Now I assume that if there is
no call he is fine, and if something's
happening someone will call us.
Between his being a firefighter and a
skydiver it would be useless to for me
to dwell on his job or "hobby". But, yes
I do pray a lot!

 SKYDIVING SONS
 bgd 3/97

I watch them climb into the plane,
Smiles spread across their face.
For they are skyward bound
To a Blue and wondrous place.

The plane rolls down the runway
Lifting slowly to the skies
I can almost here them there,
The happy skydive cries!!

Up they go to mighty heights
Soon to reach their place,
Where they will climb out
Into the sky blue space.

With a whoop and a yell,
They free fall for a while,
They look and see the earth,
Downwards about a mile.

They get a rush of some kind
As they zoom towards their "spot"
Watching as they are falling
They Love this part. Its "hot"

At last I see their "chutes "
A flutter in the breeze,
My heart begins to lighten
As they float down with ease.

They touch the ground at last,
Another dive is through,
They hurry to repack their gear,
Oh My, here goes number two!!

They love to do their skydives
As many and as oft,
They have no fear of falling
When they are aloft.

As a Mother I am afraid
And of course I'm insecure
But because they love it
I am a mom and I will endure.
