Happy Nurse's Day!

Give to my eyes
light to see those in need.

Give to my heart
compassion and understanding.

Give to my mind
knowledge and wisdom.

Give to my hands
skill and tenderness.

Give to my ears
the ability to listen.

Give to my lips
words of comfort.

Give to my spirit
the desire to share.

Give to me, Lord,
strength for this selfless service
and enable me to bring joy to
the lives of those I service.

is Nurse's Day

This page is dedicated to Elaine, my favorite cousin, who is not only a nurse but a dedicated and loving nurse. She not only finds the time for part-time nursing, including being a part-time school nurse, but is also a loving wife, very active in their church, and is a full-time, dedicated mother to 3 very active boys who are involved in everything going in a young boys' lives. I don't know how she does it ~ it makes me weary just reading her emails! *smile* Her energy continues to daze and amaze me.

Happy Nurse's Day, Elaine, and also to each and every nurse out there dedicated to helping heal the sick. I know we all have "war stories" of bad nurses we've had in the past, but believe me . . . for every bad nursing experience we've had, there are 2 or more nurses out there who are loving, caring, and dedicated to their profession, and I just wanted to say thank you!
