1 to 1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1cup rolled oats
1 cup Coconut
3/4 cup chopped dried fruit
1/2 Butter or margarine melted
2 tbsp. Golden syrup
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup boiling water
Put 1 cup flour, sugar, oats, coconut, chopped dried fruit (assorted apricot, dates, prunes, cranberry, etc...
whatever you have on hand.) into mixing bowl. Stir together. Make well in center.
Add butter and syrup to well.
Dissolve baking soda in water. Add to well. Mix add other 1/2 cup flour gradually till desired consistency. (The difference is a flat cookie,
or one that holds it's shape.) Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake in 350 F (180 C)
oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. Makes Aprox. 3 dozen.
