Meet Sami...

Sami's registered name is Samantha Sunshine. She is a 4 year old tri color Sheltie She loves to play ball. She is absolutely nuts for a tennis ball!! In September 1995, Sami & I took a flyball class and have been racing since November 1995. Flyball is a relay race for dogs that involves 4 hurdles and a box that a tennis ball shoots out of. It is a very active & exciting sport. Sami & I love it!! For more information on flyball, go to the North American Flyball Association Homepage . Sami's other favorite game is frisbee. She loves to go out for long one and bark just before she catches it. It's as if she's saying "I'm so good". When she was about 2, she started having troubles with her knees. When she would jump, her kneecap would pop out. She'd yelp a little but could always walk it off. The vet told me it was patellar luxation and needed surgery to prevent further injury. She has had both knees done & now she's good as new. She can enjoy pain free frisbee again!!
