Durham Region Housing Services
We are pleased to partner with the Durham Region Housing Services Division in providing housing to homeless individuals. Among other things, the Housing Services Division is responsible for the administration of social housing programs and the development of new affordable housing initiatives. It also oversees the delivery of hostel services and a range of programs to address homelessness in Durham Region.
Correctional Service Canada
Cornerstone has been in partnership with Correctional Service Canada since 1984 providing supervision and support for the graduated return to our community of federal offenders.
Ontario Halfway House Association
The Ontario Halfway House Association, (O.H.H.A.) is a non-profit professional organization, which serves as a forum for non-governmental organizations that are primarily residential service providers for federally sentenced adults.
The current membership is made up of halfway house organizations and treatment facilities serving federally sentenced offenders in the Region of Ontario as well as other criminal justice organizations. The Ontario Halfway House Association encourages the promotion and facilitation of community-based criminal justice services.
United Way of Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge
United Way of Oshawa-Whitby-Clarington-Brock & Scugog
Cornerstone receives funding from both of the United Ways noted above in Durham. This funding is directed towards the Emergency Shelter Program.
North House Transitional Housing
North House was established to facilitate responsive approaches and supports to individuals and families who are facing housing challenges in the Townships of Brock, Scugog and Uxbridge in the Durham Region. Further information regarding their services can be accessed by clicking on this link.
