(Mal 4:1-3 NKJV) "For behold, the day is coming,
Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the LORD of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch. {2} But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. {3} You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this," Says the LORD of hosts. There's a hot day coming in the future and the time to be getting prepared for it is now. (2 Pet 3:7 NKJV) But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for
fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2 Pet 3:10 NKJV) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.Considering this we may need to examine our life and see how we stand in light of the eternal. Are you ready to meet your Maker? Often people try and predict the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but we may go to Him before He comes to us. There is only one heartbeat between us and eternity. But even now He longs to be gracious to us. He has provided a way for us to be cleared of our debt. JESUS!
Each one of us have been given a credit card by the devil, this card is called sin. he will tell you to live it up, charge all you want, you can pay me later. Each time we commit a sin it is recorded and added to the balance that we owe. But there is a payday coming. The payment required will be your soul. But there is good news! Jesus has made provisions for your balance to be paid in full.
(Rom 5:1 NKJV) Therefore, having been
justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ," This term "justified" means just as if I never sinned, innocent, and paid in full. Jesus has redeemed us, we have been bought with a price. But even though it has been done for us we must accept it for it to take effect. Jesus bore the sin of many (Isa. 53:12) not every ones. The reason is that many people insist on paying their own bill. He will not force you to serve Him.It is a free choice. You are the one that has to make the decision on who you will serve and you are the one that will stand in front of the throne and answer for that decision, be it good or bad. The choice is yours, the price has been paid. (Josh 24:15 NKJV) "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (2 Cor 6:2 NKJV) For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the accepted time; behold,
now is the day of salvation.
(John 14:6 NKJV) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. It is impossible to have fellowship with the Father except through Jesus Christ His Son. (John 3:16 NKJV) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(Rom 10:9-10 NKJV) that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. {10} For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
So we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for us on the cross and that God has raised Him from the dead. This may seem as a lot at first but when you meet Him it will remove all doubt. Jesus is alive! I put together this short prayer that you can pray if you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, its nothing fancy, it doesn't have to be. But it must be sincere and from the heart. Basically you just have to "come clean" before God and repent, that means to turn away from your previous life of sin. if we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves. (Rom 3:23 NKJV) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Pray this,
Heavenly Father, I need you to forgive me of my sins. I believe that Jesus died for me and was resurrected from the grave. Lord Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Amen
That's it, simple eh? The fact is that God loves you and made it easy for you to come back to Him. Pray and read your bible and you'll grow spiritually. If you prayed that prayer please e-mail me so that I can pray for you., or if you have any questions you can reach me at:
There were two men in a canoe drifting down the river. One was an older man, very sincere and very knowledgeable. The other was a younger man without much of an education.
Passing underneath a low hanging tree the older man pulled off some of its leaves and began to explain in great detail how the leaf had grown to be what it was. When he saw that the younger man was uninterested he asked him, you mean that you've never studied leaves before? The younger man answered no. At this the older man said: well that's 25 percent of your life that's gone.
Going a little farther he reached down into the water and picked up a rock laying in the shallows. As he rolled it in his hands and looked at it he began to explain how the rock had been washed down the river and worn smooth by the water rolling over it. The younger mans disinterest was apparent so the older man asked him: you mean you've never studied rocks before? The younger man simply answered no. Then the older man replied: see that's 50 percent of your life gone.
A little while later the old man looked up at the sky and began to explain all the different types of clouds and the way that they moved through the atmosphere. The young man sat quietly listening. Finally the older man said: to be sure you've studied the clouds and the atmosphere! The young man answered no. Then the older man said: That's 75 percent of your life gone.
They drifted a little farther and the water began to get faster. Then they heard the sound of water crashing over the edge of a cliff and looking forward saw a huge waterfall on the horizon. Then the older man panicked and said what are we going to do? The younger man answered saying that they would have to swim to the hill. Then the older man exclaimed: I don't know how to swim! The younger man then replied: you've been studying the wrong things!
The moral of this story is that there are many things in this life that you can spend your time doing and learning but they are temporary. Its fine to have knowledge in all sorts of things but don't forget that eternity is just 1 second, 1 minute, or 1 gunshot away. And remember that he who dies with the most toys, still dies. But there is hope:
For God so loved the world (you), that He gave His only begotten son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in him (Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life. No one comes to the father but by Him and if a man gains the whole world and loses his own soul it profits him nothing. Why not examine yourself and see what you've been studying in this life? Will it keep you and save you in the days to come? Jesus will!!!
