The Banner Generator is an excellent way to make your own banners and buttons and things of that nature follow this link to get there.

Another very useful site is the Color Center. In the Color Center you can find and try a whole rainbow of different color schemes for your site. In fact I used it to find and select the colors for this room e.g. the background color, text color, and the different colors for the links, on this page. You can even find textures to use for backgrounds. Follow the link for a short cut to the Color Center.
