The youth with their hard thinking brains have come up with several ideas to improve the youth dept. These ideas are slowly taking shape and we will hopefully have them all in full gear by the end of the year. Read below to find out what's goin' down!
COFFE SHOP: MARTIN'S CORNER
The youth have forever been wanting a time to ourselves to hang out and be ourselves. The idea was thought up a long time ago, but just recently has been put to work. Soon, we will present the idea to the church body and we will also begin work upstairs very soon. The name "Martin's Corner" comes from former church members who passed away and left a generous donation to the youth. The coffee shop is in their honor. Pleas pray for us as we will need many prayers to get this idea on its feet.
YOUTH BAND GROUP
Yes, you heard it here! The youth are in the planning stages of making a band to sing and play live music for youth worship services on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Although it is just in the planning stages, the band will begin practicing soon and as the coffee shop gets started we'll probably begin playing there too. Please pray for this also as we cannot wait to begin.
GET IT!
The youth last year had this bible study started, but it ended with a great retreat to a cabin in the middle of nowhere. After it ended the first time, we were planning on starting it back up after Christmas break, but we never did. Well, once again we are in the planning stages, yeah everything's in planning, of beginning this again but bigger and better! If we do get it started, it will probably be on Wednesday nights along with a "Journaling 101" class and maybe a band, see above.
