How to study the Bible

Hello, My name is Les, and I have been studying the Bible for quite a few years now, and with and through the help of the Lord, I have seen the deception that is being taught out there.

I would like to be able to help people to come to a better understanding of the words that are spoken in the pages of the Bible. I know that not everybody will understand, but that is fine, in time you will. I would be very happy to be able to teach people what He really says, and the way He says it, from the pages of the Bible itself.

I have written a few letters about the things that are not really being said in the right way, according to the Bible. I would also like to say that when you try to understand what is being said, that it would be helpful for you to have by your side a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, and maybe a Vine's Expository Dictionary of the Old and New Testament Words, because there are a lot of mistranslated words in the KJV. The Strong's helps one to see what the correct meaning of the word really should be, for a better understanding of scripture. There is also another way you should study the Bible, and that is the way the Lord says in Isaiah 28v9-13, "Whom shall He teach knowledge".

So many people think that Jesus taught Jewry, but there was no such religion back then, He taught about his Fathers kingdom, not mans. That is why the religious system back there was not what you thought, or were taught that it was. You see, when you read what Jesus said to the woman at the well, Jhn. 4v20-21,23; "Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

It was the Pharisees that represented the effect of Hellenism, not the Torah. That is why the priest back there stated that Caesar was there king. They actually taught from the Babylonian Talmud, or "Talmudic Judaism", why do you think Jesus rebuked the Jewish leaders so much? (Think About It) If they were teaching God's law, then what would be the point in Jesus rebuking them so much? Did He not rebuke them for "Their Doctrine, Their Tradition, Their Commandments that made Gods commandments null and void". (I believe He did) That is why they wanted to kill Him because He spoke the truth about the "Law", the true law. That is why He said what He said in, Jhn. 7v1; "for He would not walk in Jewry (Judaea), because the Jews (Judeans) sought to kill Him."

There are so many words that have been changed in the Bible since King James's writing of the Bible, which was really called the Bible of the "Law Breakers", and the Geneva Bible was called the Bible of the "Covenant Keepers". Back then, "church" was not in the original writings, it was referred to as the congregation, or assembly, not church. Back in the time of Tyndale, and his translation, he used congregation instead of church, which is correct, and used "churches" in Acts 19:37 to refer to heathen temples! So much is being lost in the actual reading of God's word, that people have lost interest in doing the real studying of the words in the Bible to see what they really mean. One other point that is being taught out there, is about the 144,000 sealed. The "churches" today say that they are Jews, I am sorry, but my bible says that there are only 12,000 Jews that are sealed. The rest are the other 12,000 chosen from each of the remaining eleven (11) tribes of Israel. You see there were twelve (12) tribes that made up Israel, not just the Jews, they are only one tribe out of the twelve. (read your bible please)

I know that this is strange to some, and maybe not to others, but I did not write this to make anybody angry, but to try to get people stirred up enough to want to do some studying of the Bible. So many preachers today go to college to learn the doctrine of that particular church organization, and teach a set of scriptures pertaining to their doctrine. Now, that is fine if you want to belong to a certain organization and belief, but I thought that Jesus said to follow Him, and His ways which is the whole Bible, and not just basically five books of Paul, which seems to be the only thing preached out there. He is the God of the whole Bible, you know, not just part of it.

I hope that you will want to do something that is also lost out there with people, and that is something that is called research, the same thing that we did in school when we had an essay to do. (Remember) It is sad but a lot of people have fallen into a place where they would rather let TV dictate life to them, instead of proving things for themselves. That is why there is so much out there that is just slipping by them, and they don't even know it. That is why I go by what it says in 1Thes. 5:21; "to prove all things", there is also another verse that is a very true statement, and that is in Hossea 4:6; "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge". Think about it, I know that it is your life, but time is shorter then you think.

Please feel free to print out any of the letters that are on this page, and the others. I only just want to try to open your eyes, even if it is just a little. I do mean this in a very nice way, and hope that you will take it that way. Please keep the Lord in your Heart. Oh, by the way, I used to be the same way myself, that is why I can see the difference out there, and all the credit belongs to the Lord.
