Joseph Silvio came to Pennsylvania and settled here. He came to this country in 1892, thus began our genealogy. As far as I know this is the first time a Silvio set foot in this country. He became a citizen of the United States in 1900. Joseph was born in Italy but so far I have not found out where. He died in 1952.

His wife's name was Jennette M. Silvio and her maiden name was Halderman. It is stated that she and her father were born in Pennsylvania but her mother was born in Germany.

In the 14th Census of the United States (January,1920),their children and one daughter-in-law who live in the same household are as follows:

• Thomas age 19 married to Louisa age 19 with 2 children under the age of 2. They were married in February 1917.
• Margaret age 17
• Joseph age 16
• Russell age 13
• Harry age 11 My grandfather.
