His wife was listed as Phebe with children: Sarah(Waldrop), John Aultom, Rebekeh(Goggins), Amelia, James, William, Jemima, Spencer, Elisabeth and Maragret.

What was Phebe's maiden name that was married to James Aultom at the time of his will in 1798 in Newberry County, South Carolina---listed directly above?

Does anyone have an ancestor that married an Altom? Would love to hear from you and exchange information.

Does anyone have information on a bounty land warrant for a Spencer Altum of Anderson County, TN. they could share with fellow researchers? It could have been filed in North Carolina or a neighboring county in Tennessee. Thanks.

Does anyone know the parentage of Christina Shipman who married Spencer Altom and lived in Henderson County, TN. from 1830 till around 1880? Thanks.
