William M. (7/23/1850-11/8/1920) married Mary Jane(Morgan, Ross, Adams) on the 25th of August, 1880 in Independance County, AR. (Book E, Page 263). They are both buried at Old Union Cemetary in Floral Ar. The children from their marriage were:
Samantha Azlee Altom(6/1881-12/1958) who married Joseph E. Brown(9/1874-3/1957)
Elcer Altom(12/1883-10/1950) who married Mollie Stubblefield
ADDITIONAL NOTES: William's wife, Mary, was married two times prior to her marriage to William. Her first marriage was to Columbus Ross, of which three children were born: Minnie L., Hattie Luvenia, and Nick. Her second marriage was to Willis Adams in 1878 and two years later she married William Altom. Apparently there were no children born from her marriage to Mr. Adams. Of her three children by Ross, the oldest, Minnie L. married William Altom's youngest brother, Spence R. Altom, on the 14th of April, 1878. Spence died in 1914 and unsure of the d.o.d. for Minnie, but apparently she died of TB in Floral, AR.
