My First Grandbaby, a gift from Heaven above,
A precious little Angel, to give all of my Love.
Brought into this World, by my Son and his Wife,
You will definetly have, a rewarding life.
As you grow up in this Wonderful World,
I know you will be, one lucky little girl.
You will be more than protected, I know this is true,
Because of all the love, that we all share for you.
Sometimes will be hard--but you will go on,
Each night and each day, from dusk until dawn.
Life may throw some curves your way,
But just make the best, of each new day.
Remember always..you will be loved forever..

POEM NUMBER 2 FOR AMANDA
Across the miles you live from me,
My little Amanda Dear,
I will not see your growth,
Your coos I will not hear.
As days go by you'll start to crawl,
Oh how I wish I could see--
I'm missing so much,from so far away,
I wish you were nearer to me.
I'll watch you grow in still pictures,
My heart breaks each time I look,
I keep them in a very safe place,
In my "Amanda's picture book.
Oh how I wish I could hold you..
And tuck you in at night,
Read you a bedtime story,
And hold you oh so tight.
Pinch your little cheeks,
And tickle your little toes,
Watch you find your fingers,
As they touch your little nose.
Feed you your first oatmeal,
And watch it slide down your chin,
Wipe it off with a nice clean cloth,
And start all over again.
Watch your face as you pucker,
When eating your first strained peas,
And see the gleam come in your eyes,
When you utter your first "please".
But alas, I won't be able to,
So will dream of your good times,
Will hold you close within my heart,
And know that you are mine. cMu 9/25/97 Now as you all know by now I am here watching the growth of both of my granddaughters..I think after I wrote this poem it started the ball rolling for my move out here to Washington State HERE ARE MY LITTLE ANGEL's
