The Clinton Health Care Plan It'll Make You Sick! |
On Wednesday, September 22, 1993, President Clinton addressed the people
of United States of America to introduce Health Care Reform. President
Clinton made many wonderful promises:
"Health care that could never be taken away, universal coverage for all, generous benefits, and all at a cost, of no more than we pay now.".
Sound a little fishy?
That's what I thought too. So I purchased a copy of The President's
Health Security Plan. And as I began reading, I quickly made two frightening
discoveries: 1) President Clinton cannot be trusted and 2) our freedom
is under attack like never before!
We're going to review some of President Clinton's Health Care speech.
And see what he really said ...
But more important, we're going to see what he didn't
say!
President Clinton said one of the main principles of Health
Reform is choice,
"Americans ought to be able TO CHOOSE their own health care plan".
"The fourth principle is CHOICE. Americans believe they ought to be able TO CHOOSE their own health care plan and keep their own doctors. And I think all of us agree. Under any plan we pass, they ought to have that RIGHT." (Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
They ought to have that right BUT WILL THEY?
Page 65 of the President's Health Security Plan reads
". . . ONLY health plans that enter into contracts with the
appropriate regional or corporate alliance ARE AUTHORIZED to provide
the guaranteed benefit package." Page 81 reads, "ONLY
STATE-CERTIFIED health plans are allowed to provide health insurance
and benefits in regional alliances."
Business Week, Sept. 20, 1993(p.34), in an article titled "Three
Fibs that Won't Help Health Reform" states, " . . . Clinton's
health plan employs at least three lies ranging from a fib to a whopper
. . ." One of the DOCUMENTED LIES: "Everyone will have
the right TO CHOOSE his or her doctor . . ."
Wall St. Journal, Sept. 30, 1993(p.18), in an article appropriately
titled "Health Plan's Devilish Details", states, "Under
the Clinton plan, most Americans WILL NOT BE ABLE to hold onto their
personal physician or buy the kind of insurance that 77% of Americans now
choose."
And not only will we not have a choice but it will be AGAINST
THE LAW to go outside the system! Page 89, of The President's
Health Security Plan, reads,
"No health plan, insurer, or any other person may offer anyone eligible for the guaranteed benefit package a supplemental insurance policy that DUPLICATES coverage in the national benefit package."
Page 10 says,"NEW CRIMINAL PENALTIES for fraud related to health care and for the payment of bribes or gratuities TO INFLUENCE the delivery of health services and coverage."
Phil Gramm, the Texas Senator, states in Wall St. Journal, Oct. 19,
1993(p.A10), the Clinton plan would make it "illegal for free citizens
in this country to go to Blue Cross and buy their own insurance policy
if they're willing to pay for it."
And not only that, THE LAW WILL REQUIRE, every man, woman and
child to participate and pay whatever the price and whatever the coverage
the governments' health plan!
Clinton's idea of CHOICE is simple - join our government-controlled
health plan or GO TO JAIL!
Wall-Street Journal, Sept. 30, 1993(p.18), says "The Clinton
plan is COERCIVE. It takes personal health choices away from patients
and families,. . ."
Americans have been told, they will always have the option to buy fee-for-service
insurance. But, a little detail, on page 67 of The President's Health
Security Plan, says different, "Under certain conditions, with
approval from the National Health Board, a state may waive the requirements
for each alliance to offer a fee-for-service health plan . . ."
Clinton's plan contains no individual choice, the government can "force"
and "manipulate" you into whatsoever plan they choose! Wall
St. Journal of Oct. 18, 1993(p.A16), sums it up, "The array
of choices is a SHAM:. . ."
Clinton also said, "We also believe that doctors should
have A CHOICE as to what plans they practice in. Otherwise, citizens
may have their own choices limited. We want to end the discrimination that
is now growing against doctors, and to permit them to practice in several
different plans. CHOICE is important for doctors, and it is absolutely
critical for our consumers. (Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
The President's Health Security Plan, on page 139, incrediably dictates,
"Legislative AUTHORITY establishes a new system TO MANAGE
the supply of specialty training for physicians,. . ."
Wall-Street Journal, Sept. 30, 1993(p.18), states, "Seeing
a specialist and paying for it out-of-pocket will be almost IMPOSSIBLE.
. . The Clinton proposal is DESIGNED to drive doctors out of private
practice. . . Price controls will make private practice unfeasible.
. . Even Drs. David Himmelstein and Steffie Woolhandler, leading proponents
of a Canadian-style single-payer system, warn that the plan will 'OBLITERATE
PRIVATE PRACTICE'".
Newsweek, Oct. 4, 1993(p.34), says point-blank, "Clinton's
plan also AIMS TO FORCE some doctors and hospitals out of the system
. . . Most doctors would be FORCED to take salaried jobs as health-plan
employees (p.39)."
There's the Clinton choice again! Here's the choice, doc . .
. You either work for the government, under government controlled prices,
or you don't practice medicine!
Knowing the intentions of this government-controlled plan, Clinton
told a whopper, "We propose to give every American a choice among
high-quality plans . . . The choice will be left to the American citizen,
the worker not the boss, and CERTAINLY NOT SOME GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRAT."
(Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
President Clinton also made this statement: "Nevertheless, the
vast majority of the Americans watching this tonight will PAY THE SAME
OR LESS for health care coverage that will be the same or better than
the coverage they have tonight. That is the central reality."
(Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
Here's the plan. . . Clinton's going to cover an additional 37 million
uninsured people; generous benefits including abortions; increased Medicare
benefits; create the largest government bureaucracy in history and according
to his own words, "the vast majority of the Americans . . . will
pay the same or less . . ."
Boy, you talk about a magic act!
And how does Clinton propose performing this wonderful magic
act! Clinton and crew claim up to $238 billion dollars (that's billion
with a 'b') can be saved by reducing waste and simplying our current
system.
And how does "capitol hill" feel about Clinton's proposal?
Senator Moynihan, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Finance
Committee, calls it "A FANTASY". Newsweek,
Oct. 4, 1993(p.46), quotes an administrative aide calling it "a
walk in space". An administration insider, says in Business
Week, Sept. 20, 1993(p.31), "The proposed savings are ILLUSORY,
because the assumptions are CRAZY, . . ."
Henry Aaron, one of the world's leading economist ,and a scholar at
the Brookings Institution in Washington, said, in Time, Oct. 4,
1993(p.31), "the savings that some people think can be realized
are BALONEY."
Where did Clinton get these huge savings?
Time magazine, Oct. 4, 1993(p.31), amazingly, quotes a key Clinton
adviser saying, "The ASSUMPTIONS are not dishonest, but
they are optimistic . . . We had to pick a number, and WE PICKED A HIGH
ONE."
But wait. . . Time out. . .
Since those numbers "flopped" , on Oct. 27, 1993 they decided
they'd better "pick" another. The new "fantasy" is
$189 billion in savings. Are they reliable? Not hardly. Treasury Secretary,
and Clinton supporter, Senator Lloyd Bentsen, said in the New
York Times, Oct. 28, 1993(p.A11) of the new numbers, "The Administration
says their numbers are the best we can do just now. They are subject TO
CHANGE. We know there are VAST UNCERTAINTIES."
Leon Panetta, director of the White House Office of Management and
Budget, who helped supply the numbers in New York Times, Oct. 28,
1993(p.A11) admittedly said, "Health care estimates, no matter
how carefully drawn, ARE HARDLY CERTAIN FORECASTS. We've just seen
too many unpredictable results in health care."
Isn't that something?
Clinton wants to demolish the greatest healthcare system
in the world and create a gigantic socialist government monster - on the
basis of some numbers they "admittedly" pulled out of thin air!
Somebody ought to wake Clinton up!
If they don't it could be our "NIGHTMARE"!
Consider this. . . Of the $389 billion, Clinton claims the
government can "throw in", $300 billion comes from "hoped-for-assumations".
(For instance $124 billion "hoped-for" Medicare savings, $65
billion "hoped-for" Medicaid savings, $71 billion "hoped-for"
income tax increases due to health reform, $40 billion "hoped-for"
savings from federal programs) The only "semi-concrete" source
is the $89 billion from taxes on tobacco products. Do you realize
just how serious this is? Now, what do you think is going to happen
when this takes effect and "reality" hits and the "assumed"
$300 billion is not there. Real simple. The quality and coverage
of Health Care will drop like a rock! And your taxes will go up like a
space rocket!
And when you consider the government's track-record of "forecasting"
costs and savings, you know we're in a "mess 'o trouble". For
instance, when Lyndon Johnson introduced Medicaid in 1965, he projected
the costs would be $10 billion in 1990. The actual costs were over $110
billion! As Time magazine, May 24, 1993(p.32) titled an article
on Clinton's plan, "Better Hold Onto Your Wallets".
President Clinton said in his speech Sept. 22, ". . . the vast
majority of the Americans watching this tonight will PAY THE SAME OR
LESS for health care coverage that will be the same or better than
the coverage they have tonight. That is the central reality."
But, in The New York Times, Oct. 29, 1993(p.1), Donna Shalala,
Secretary of Health and Human Services, one of Clinton's Health Care "reformers",
said that AT LEAST 100 MILLION would pay more! And oh yea, those
Sept 22. premium prices they've also went up. And for you on Medicare,
your prices have also went up. And oh yea, they also said the tax some
tobacco products were increasing over 10,400 per cent (New York Times,
Oct. 29, 1993p.C3). Oh yea, I almost forgot, remember that "promised"
$91 billion deficit reduction that was supposed to magically appear from
all this mess, they also said Oct 29, You'd better make that $60 billion.
No wonder, Democratic Congressman Jim McDermott, (New York Times,
Oct. 28, 1993 p.A11) said of the Clinton forces, "They have
gone NUTS . . ."
ARE YOU BEGINNING TO SMELL A RAT?
The joke of the year has to be when Clinton said in his
healthcare speech,
". . . under this health care security plan, every employer and every individual will be ASKED TO CONTRIBUTE something to health care. . . I believe we should also ASK FOR A MODEST CONTRIBUTION from big employers who opt out of the system. . ." (Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
He's going to "ASK" for a "CONTRIBUTION"?
Sounds like he's going to pass the plate around in church for a "free-will-contribution".
Fact is, if Clinton gets his way you could be the one "asking
for contributions" at the nearest soup line!
In his speech, Clinton said, "So then we gave these numbers
to actuaries from major accounting firms and major Fortune 500 companies
who have no stake in this other than to see that our efforts succeed. So
I believe our numbers are good and achievable." (Health Care Speech,
Sept, 22, 1993)
Wall St. Journal, Oct., 1, 1993(p.A12), had an interesting article
titled, "To Find out Whether Clinton Numbers Add Up in Health Plan,
Ask People Who Crunched Them". The article quoted a Mr. Helms,
an executive at Principal Financial Group, a Des Moines insurer, who
was ACTUALLY one of the actuaries Clinton referred to, Mr. Helms said,
"If it gave someone the impression that we looked at all of the
numbers in fine detail and signed off on them," he says, "it
was potentially MIS-LEADING."
No potentially mis-leading to it - President Clinton was
lying like a persian rug!
President Clinton has repeatedly said price controls are not part of
his plan.In his speech he reiterates that point:
"So how will we achieve these savings? Rather than looking at price control, or looking away as the price spiral continues; rather than using the heavy hand of government to try to control what's happening,. . ." (Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
But then just two sentences later, he said this ...
"But we also believe we should back this system up with LIMITS on how much plans can raise their premiums. . ." (Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
Page 68 of the President's Health Security Plan states, "A
provider may not charge or collect from a patient a fee IN EXCESS OF THE
FEE schedule adopted by an alliance." Page 255 states, "Upon
introduction of the reform plan, the President announces a program urging
all sectors of the health care system, hospitals, physicians, laboratories,
drug manufacturers, and all others, TO LIMIT PRICE and expenture increases
to a SPECIFIED AMOUNT."
As history as shown time and time again nothing will kill productivity
and quality like price control. Look at how well they worked in the Soviet
Union. And the Clinton plan is filled with price control!
Of couse, they don't call it that, sometimes they call it "imposing
budget discipline"(p.6), or "launch prices"(p.45), or maybe
"premium targets"(p.105), here's a good one "reasonable
price"(p.46) or just "caps"(p.259), but as Business Week,
Sept. 20, 1993(p.34) reports, "Clintonites won't admit it, but
PRICE CONTROLS ARE THE CENTERPIECE of their health plan."
Even though a recent House vote on the Hyde amendment, which prohibits
Medicaid funds for abortion, clearly shows the majority does not support
federally-funded abortions, the Clinton plan "sneaks" it in.
The word "abortion" is not found in The President's Health
Security Plan, but it is "lurking" under such vague services
as "Family planning services"(p.21), and "Pregnancy-related
services"(p.21).
Another disturbing element of the Clinton plan is the mandated school based
clinics and condom distribution. Page 211 of the plan says, "Dedicated
funds. . . support school-based clinics targeted at middle schools and
high schools. Clinics provide physical and mental health services and counseling
in DISEASE PREVENTION and health promotion as well as in individualized
RISK BEHAVIOR reduction." Of couse [DISEASE PREVENTATION]
and [RISK BEHAVIOR reduction] clearly refer to condoms.
But the Clinton, "I didn't inhale" whopper, from his Health
Care Speech, had to be:
"We should require the LEAST BUREAUCRACY or disruption, and create the cooperation we need to make the system cost-conscious, . . .We will SIMPLIFY also and we must THE GOVERNMENT'S RULES AND REGULATIONS, because they are a big part of this problem." (Health Care Speech, Sept, 22, 1993)
To show the utter madness of the Clinton healthcare reform, how
do you suppose President Clinton is going to "simplify" government
regulation and cut-down bureaucracy? Simple. He's going to create
the largest and most expensive government bureaucracy in history! According
to the book, The President's Health Security Plan, to "cut down bureaucracy"
and "simplify the system", Clinton would create 59 NEW FEDERAL
BUREAUCRACIES, EXPAND 20 OTHERS and impose 79 NEW FEDERAL MANDATES!
If you didn't know what the Clinton Administration was really up
to you'd have to seriously consider their sanity!
A terrifying picture of government competency was clearly
shown the night of Clinton's Health Care speech, as they put the
wrong speech in the Teleprompt! That ought to send a earthshattering
warning about the inefficiencies and incompetencies of government bureaucracies!
How would like to have that same person, operating on you or your children?
Wonderful thought isn't it? They can't put the right
speech in the teleprompt and they want to control the worlds' most massive
health care system!
Congressman, Dick Armey (R-Texas) said in the Wall St. Journal,
Oct. 13, 1993(p.A22), " . . . the Clinton plan is a BUREAUCRATIC
NIGHTMARE that will ultimately result in higher taxes, reduced effeciency,
restricted choice, longer lines and a MUCH, MUCH BIGGER FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT."
Congressman, Spencer Bachus (R-AL), in The Birmingham News of
Oct. 1, 1993 (p.11A), says,
"My concern is that the government doesn't have a very good track record on keeping down health care costs. In 1990, for example, Medicaid spending increased by 21.3 percent. In 1991, it increased by 33.2 percent. Health care expenditures in the private sector ROSE ONLY 7.4 PERCENT over the same period. Last week, President Clinton said the current system has too much bureaucracy, too much waste and fraud, and the costs are too hlgh. His prescription for health care reform is, ironically, A MASSIVE NEW FEDERAL PROGAM."
William Wetzel, president of the National Association of Health Underwriters,
in the Birmingham News, Sept. 26, 1993, commenting on The President's
Health Security Plan says, "I call it the 246-page brick that
Clinton has hit us with, a brick that is going to HURT EVERY AMERICAN
and WREAK HAVOC on the American economy."
Page 50, of The President's Health Security Plan has a "cute",
little, "gotcha":
"When the National Board notifies the Secretary of Health and Human Services that a state has failed to comply with FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS, the National Board shall also notify the Secretary of the Treasury. The Secretary of the Treasury will impose A PAYROLL TAX ON ALL EMPLOYERS IN THE STATE. "
Isn't that amazing! And there's no limit on the tax there's no
voting, no Congressional approval, it's literally a "BLANK
CHECK" signed by me and you! Boy, if that don't give you nightmares,
I don't know what will!
The Wall St. Journal, Sept. 29, 1993, "Financing the Clinton
health plan would require SUBSTANTIALLY MORE TAX REVENUE than the
administration admits. . ."
Time, Sept. 20, 1993(p.61), in a column titled, "The Devil in
the Numbers", says, "Nearly EVERY Democratic health-care
expert, however, concluded that effeciencies alone would never be enough;
Clinton would have to RAISE TAXES as well".
Time magazine, Oct. 4, 1993(p.37), commenting on the Clinton speech,
put it like this: "What he said, in effect, is "TRUST ME"
- and never mind that if he and his advisers ARE WRONG, the costs
of extending health care to the uninsured would ultimately require new
taxes."
Do you get the feeling the Clinton Administration have no idea what
they're doing? Well, YOU'RE WRONG! The truth is THEY KNOW
EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE DOING! And Health Care is just a cover for the
"real" Clinton agenda!
Richard Scrushy, CEO of HealthSouth Corp., said in The Birmingham
News, Sept. 26, 1993, "I think people in America don't realize
that THEY ARE BEING HOODWINKED by the leadership in this country."
The Clinton agenda is to "radically" change the America which
you and I know. In his Health Care address, Sept. 22, he stated his purpose,
"OUR PURPOSE in this dynamic age must be TO CHANGE-to make
CHANGE our friend and not our enemy." (Health Care Speech, Sept,
22, 1993)
The Clinton change is Socialist America!
Socialism is defined as "GOVERNMENT OWNERSHIP
AND/OR CONTROL over the basic means of production and distribution
of goods and services". And, despite the glaring fact, that socialism
has never, ever worked. Despite the fact that the most intense attempt
at socialism has devastated Russia. But, for some unknown reason, the Clintons
just don't get it! Socialism does not, can not and will not work!
Speaking, Oct. 8, 1993, before the Democratic National Committee: Clinton
said, "When you CHANGE A COUNTRY, now, you can't just pass
a law and change it,. . . You have to CHANGE THE BEHAVIOR of the
whole country. People have to CHANGE THEIR LIVES."
Congressman Phil Gramm said in the New York Times, Oct.
28, 1993(p.A10), ". . .the bottom line is, they're trying to sell
you SOCIALIZED MEDICINE, and that is a bad product."
The Newsweek, Oct. 4, 1993(p.29), cover article, "Clinton's
Trillion dollar Cure (And What We Didn't Tell You)", reads, "What
the president didn't say is that his plan arguably the most ambitious
attempt at SOCIAL ENGINEERING since the Civil Rights Act of 1964
is just as risky as it is bold."
Congressman, Spencer Bachus (R-AL), in The Birmingham News of Oct.
1, 1993(p.11A), gives this warning, "Under the Clinton plan, the
federal government will in one fell swoop control every aspect of our
health care system 14 PERCENT OF OUR ECONOMY. In order to do that,
he has proposed three new levels of government bureaucracy: a National
Health Board, Regional Health Alliances and state enforcement agencies.
This seven member board would control $900 billion in health care goods
and services that's three times more than the resources under the control
of all our nation's governors combined."
Friend, their aim is real simple CONTROL.
They want to control every aspect of your life. Currently, one out of every
seven dollars in America is spent on health care. The Clinton Administration
wants to capture our health care system and place under the control of
government. And every one of us, sooner or later, will need its services!
It would place the American people in a dangerous position, literally
a life or death position at the mercy of government for our most basic
care OUR HEALTH CARE!
The magazine, World and I, Oct. 1993(p.18-26), published by
The Washington Times, had these comments, "President Clinton
and his administration are CLEARLY intent on carrying out a culture
REVOLUTION in America. . . Given the ideology of the Clintonites
who hold high positions in the administration, there is no argument that
RADICAL CHANGE is their goal. . .There can be no question that RADICAL
CHANGE IS THEIR GOAL. . ."
A disturbing article was published in Wall St. Journal, Oct. 26,
1993(p.A22), titled "Clinton Health Plan Salutes Italy's Past".
The article compared the Clinton Health Plan with the cruel economic Fascism
of the Italian dictator Mussolini. Incredibly, the comparison was startling!
IS THERE A CONNECTION?
In the book, "'Slick Willie', Why America Cannot Trust
Bill Clinton" (p.109), revealed an article that appeared August 8,
1992, in the Italian news weekly Il Sabato, reporting of Governor
Clinton's 1987 visit to Italy to study their economic system (which is
communist). The article was amazingly entitled, "Comrade Bill"
("Comrade" is a term for a communist party member). In the article,
Clinton was asked the following question:
"Don't tell me this [communist cooperatives] is your economic prescription for the [United] States?" Mr. Socci asked Governor Clinton.
"ABSOLUTELY," responded the Governor.
If you still doubt Clinton's real goal. . . On page 23,
of his book, Putting People First, he made this "alarming"
statement: "We cannot put people first and create jobs and economic
growth without A REVOLUTION IN GOVERNMENT."
A REVOLUTION? Webster defines "revolution" as: 1.
a sudden, radical, or complete change. 2. the overthrow or renunciation
of one government or ruler and the substitution of another by the governed.
What kind of talk is that for the President of the United States! Friend,
that's the talk of the Karl Marxs, the Lenins, the Stalins and the Mussolinis!
Not the President of the United States!
It makes you wonder, just what did Clinton mean in his announcement
speech, at the Old State House in Little Rock, Ark. on Oct. 3, 1991, when
he declared, "I refuse to be part of a generation that celebrates
the death of communism. . ." (Putting People First, p.187)
The undeniable fact is, the Clinton Heath Care is a brutal attack at
our freedom. And, as Clinton has acknowledged several times it's just
the beginning!
As the Clinton Health Care Plan, is released and revised, there
will be much debate among Congress. Many details will be changed. But what
the Clinton Administration will not back down from is that massive government
control.
Senator Phil Gramm, said in the Wall St. Journal, Oct. 1, 1993(p.A10),
"I believe we can and will repeal the president's tax increase.
I believe we can and will repair foreign-policy mistakes." But
about the Clinton health, monstrosity, he says, "I can't fix this."
But, you and I can. Senator Phil Gramm, also said in Wall St. Journal,
Oct. 1, 1993(p.A10), ". . . the good news is that the middle class
Americans are going to decide this."
Friend, there is a Health Care Plan that does provide universal coverage,
with benefits literally out of this world, coverage that you can never
lose, no one is ever turned down, all pre-existing conditions are covered,
there's no waiting period, and it won't cost you a single cent.
It was paid in full on an old rugged cross nearly two-thousand years
ago by the Lord Jesus Christ.
As important as your physical coverage is, your spiritual and eternal
coverage, is far more important.
Jesus says, in Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man, if he
shall gain the whole world, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL?"
ARE YOU COVERED?
Romans 4:7, says, "Blessed are they whose iniquities
are forgiven, and whose sins are COVERED."
Are your sins COVERED by the blood of Jesus Christ?
Eternal coverage is yours simply for the asking.
YOU CAN BE COVERED THIS VERY MINUTE!
It's simple to be saved ...
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10
"... for there is no difference. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, ..." 1 Peter 2:24
"... Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," Revelation 1:5
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE SAVED?
Pray this prayer, and mean it with all your heart.
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and unless you save me I am lost
forever. I thank you for dying for me at Calvary. I come to you now, Lord
the best way I know how, and ask you to save me. I now receive you as my
Savior. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.
