Below I have placed a paragraph about each of Old James children, the first 6 are in order of birth, the girls are listed last because we have no birthdates on them.
1. James Olive Jr. married Elizabeth Burt, birthdate unknown but his will was found in Wake Co. NC 1780. Not much is known about this man, he did have 8 children but we only know 3 possible names which are John b-1748 when to Ga., Thomas W. may have went to Ky. and Berry b-1790-1800 when to Ga.
2.William Olive b-1746 married Ann Hendon and had 10 children which were William Olive Jr., Howell, James, Isham, Sally, Kiddy, Sidia, Lydia, Merrell and Elizabeth.
3. Southwood Olive b-about 1755 married Nancy Hendon, moved to Oglethorpe County Ga. about 30 miles southeast of Athens, Ga., they had 9 children which were, Abel, Matthew, Keziah, Mary, Asa, Isham, Eli, Cynthia, and James.
4. John Olive b-about 1754 married 1st Miss Partridge, first two children are from John and Miss Partridge, all the other children are from his second wife Nancy Womble. the children are, Burrell, Rachel, John Jr., Michael, Sally, Berry, Franky (Frances-male), Daniel, Green, Nancy, Bennett, William Brinkley, and Gray Olive.
5. Anthony Olive b-unknown married Kerenhappuch (Happy) Hendon, they also moved to Oglethorpe County Ga. about 30 miles southeast of Athens, Ga had 8 children which were, Mary, Hendon, John, Keziah, Elizabeth, Sarah and Nancy.
6. Jesse Olive b- about 1762 and married Monicah Massey 1780-1781. They had nine children which were, Richard Calvin, Sally, John, Jesse Jr., James, Rachel, Gilley, Mary and Elizabeth. Most of the children went to Tn. except for Richard Calvin who went to Al.
7. Abel Olive b-7-20-1765 married 1st Betty Ann Willis (some sources say her name was Elizabeth (Betsey) Wilson but, the name on the photostat is very clear) and had 5 children, married 2nd Martha (Patsey) Minter and had 9 children, Here are the fourteen children in order of birth (1-5 are children of Abel and Betty, Nancy, Joel, Jose, William, Ira, Abel Jr. Uel, Jesse, Richard, Patsey, John, Mary Ann, Salley and James.
8. Rachael Olive birthdate unknown, married Joseph Embry and lived next to her brother Anthony Olive in Ft. Ogelthorpe, Ga. I will be adding more to this paragraph very soon.
9. Amy Olive birthdate unknown, married Issac Hill in Wake Co., NC. this is all I know of her but, hope to find more and add here.
10. Winnie Olive birthdate unknown. All I know of her is that she married Issiah Hale in Wake Co., NC. Issiah Hale also moved to Oglethorpe County, Ga., was a charter member of Clouds Creek Baptist Church near Athens, Ga. Searching for more.
