I was born December the 27th, 1966. My family was a very unwealthy family consisting of 12 including my biological parents. I had 7 sisters and 2 brothers. Through Christ Jesus, I was adopted by a great christian family who loved me very much. They could give me what my real parents couldn't. They raised me for Christ. My foster father is Frank H. Murphy, and my foster mother is Alma H. Murphy. My late foster brother was named Mike Murphy. He lead me to the Lord Jesus Christ when I was seven years old. I went in the Army Reserve in March of 1985, graduated from High school in 1985. I then went into the Regular Army in July of 1987. I walked the walk and talked the talk of a christian up until I went into the Regular Army and then I got out of God's will. I started drinking, smoking, cussing, and living a wrong life style. God allowed me to live out of his will until I got into drugs.
Drugs almost killed me as did the drinking. Christ Jesus was able to lift the addiction of drugs and alchohol from me as he is able to lift your addictions from you. We must understand that Satan wishes to degrade the importance of accepting Christ Jesus. He does this by calling us unique but sudduly hides it by making us believe that we are not making ourselves unique. If I think my problem is diferent but I talk myself into thinking that I am not being diferent, then I am just camofloging the real thought of uniniqueness. This makes Christ Jesus' sacrifice on the cross of Calvory of none importance. It has been my personal experience that Christ Jesus can take care of the souls of the whole world if we allow him to.
I thank God he has healed me from my addictions and I believe that anyone who is having a problem with alchohol and drugs should go to AA or NA but only as a temporary solution not a permanent one. The Devil will try to tell you that you can never be healed of this and that you are in denile of your disease by trying through any other means but it is a trick to turn you away from Christ and his power to deliver you from your sin. Well the moral of this Personal Testimony is that even though I walk on my own path for a short while, Christ Jesus was still there for me and never left me. When God said, "That's enough, come home." I came home.
Well I hope you can understand that there is no beter teacher than experience. If I can come back to Christ Jesus, after being backsliden, then you can come back to Christ Jesus after being backsliden. Just hear the heavenly Father when He calls you from running after the world. It is my wish that you are able to gain a little insight from my personal testimony and come to a decision to come to Christ Jesus for the first time or come back to him from playing in the world.
