This site contains information for and about the descendants of Charles Samuel McAdam and Mary Bernice Lawrence of Gouverneur, NY. Charles was the son of Absalom McAdam, who was the son of Samuel McAdam II and Eliza J. Brown, both immigrants from Ireland, who settled and married in Canada. Charles Samuel McAdam was first a Canadian citizen, who later became a naturalized American citizen. Charles married twice, first to Mae Jones, and after her death, he married Mary Lawrence. Charles and Mae had two children, and then Charles and Mary had seven more. Charles and Mary are deceased now, but their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren carry on the tradition of a family reunion in Gouverneur the third Sunday in July each year.
