In the Name of God Amen. I Catharine Broughton
of St. John's Parish in Berkley County
Widow, being in Sound Health, Memory and Understanding, do make this
my last Will and Testament as followeth. I give unto my Son in law Thomas
Broughton my negro Woman named Catarincha during his natural
Life, after his Death I give the above named Negro Woman to my Grand Daughter
in law Mary Mazyck to her and
her Heirs for ever. I give unto the said Mary
Mazyck the Sum of Fifteen
Pounds, also all my Wearing Apparel and my Chest of Drawers. I
give unto my Grand Son in Law Alexander
Mazyck the Sum of Fifteen Pounds. I give unto my
Grand Son in law Paul Mazyck
the Sum of Fifteen Pounds. I give unto my Grand Son in law
Nathaniel Mazyck the Sum
of Fifteen Pounds. I give unto my Grand daughter in law Catharine
Mazyck the sum of Fifteen
Pounds. I give unto my Nephew Henry Gibbes
the Sum of Fifty
Pounds. I give unto my Daughter in Law Henrietta
Broughton the Sum of Twenty Pounds. I give unto my Grand
Son in law Thomas Broughton
the Sum of Fifteen Pounds. I give unto my Grand Son in law Philip
Broughton the Sum of Fifteen Pounds. I give unto my Grand
daughter in law Mary Broughton
the Sum of Fifteen Pounds. It is my Will that the sum of one Pounds be
paid annually to my Negro woman Catarincha, the above Sum to be paid by
my Son in Law Thomas Broughton.
All the remainder and residue of my Estate of every donomination whatsoever
I give unto my Son in Law Thomas Broughton
to him and his Heirs for ever. I Nominate and Appoint my Son in law Thomas
Broughton and my Grand Son in law Alexander
Mazyck Executors to this my last will and Testament. In
