Shirley Frain who had done extensive research on the Broughtons of South

Alexander Broughton 1756, (Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton>Nathaniel Broughton> Alexander Broughton 1756), was the grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. He died 7 October 1762. He was married to Mary Jones Keating (see her Will - Mary Broughton 1808), widow of Maurice Keating. His Will was written 2 March 1756, codicil on 23 March 1762, proved 13 November 1764.Mary Broughton 1808, wife of Alexander Broughton (lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton> Nathaniel Broughton> Alexander Broughton see his will - Andrew Broughton 1756). She was the daughter of Samuel Jones and widow of Maurice Keating. Her Will was written 23 December 1808 and proved 28 February 1817.
Alexander Broughton 1792, (Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton> Nathaniel Broughton> Alexander Broughton> Alexander Broughton) was the great-grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. He was married to Elizabeth Demaris Ravenel. His Will was written 30 October 1792 and proved 11 January 1794.
Catherine Broughton 1792, second wife of Nathaniel Broughton (Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton> Nathaniel Broughton> Nathaniel Broughton). I do not know her maiden name. Her Will was written 25 August 1792 amd proved 2 November 1797.
John Broughton 1789, (Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton> Nathaniel Broughton> Alexander Broughton> John Broughton) was the great-grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. He apparrently never married. His Will was written 17 August 1789 and proved 1 March 1799.
Thomas Broughton 1808, (Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton> Nathaniel Broughton> Nathaniel Broughton> Thomas Broughton) was the great-grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. He was married to Marianne Porcher. His Will was written 11 March 1808 and proved 20 February 1809.
Thomas Broughton 1752, (Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton> Andrew Broughton> Thomas Broughton), was the grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. He was married to Sarah Heskett. His Will was written 22 May 1752, codicil 1 March 1760 and proved 1760-1767.
Peter Broughton 1768, (Lt Gov Thomas Broughton> Andrew Broughton> Peter Broughton) was the grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. He apparrently was never married. He died 8 May 1769. His Will was written 31 May 1768 and proved 19 May 1769.
Andrew Broughton 1779, (Lt Gov Thomas Broughton> Andrew Broughton> Andrew Broughton) was the grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. He was married to Ann Singleton (see her Will - Ann Broughton 1778). His Will was written 7 June 1779 and proved 11 April 1783).
Ann Broughton 1778, wife of Andrew Broughton (see his Will - Andrew Broughton 1779), grandson of Lt. Gov. Thomas Broughton. Her Will was written 12 December 1778 and proved 9 June 1789.
