[REALM OF CHAOS]

ABIT ABOUT 'AUNTIE CHAOS'

I became known as 'Auntie Chaos' on a local BBS  I was with starting back in 1993/94 and the name's become a part of my cyberlife ever since.  I'm also one of the pioneering members & web administrator of the ForestCity Webgrrls which was formed in late 1997.

My interests include Animals (both tame & wild) and Kids (again tame & wild).   I've recently began to delve into my family roots which, in turn, have led to a great interest in Local History of Southern Ontario (London area as well as Haldimand-Norfolk region).

During the last 6 months I've also become interested in the world of HTML and have become somewhat addicted to weaving my way onto the internet as well as helping others where and when I can. I don't, in anyway profess to be 'professional' at it, but hey, it's fun and I figure the more I practice it, the better I'll become. (& and at this stage the only way is up) :)

Since having to cut back my hours drastically at the Post Office, (due to health reasons), in mid-1997,  I started dabbling in small woodworking/ woodburning projects - I've always loved the smell of fresh cut wood!    My pet project is doing photo collages on wooden plagues and coating them with an acrylic coating.  I've done one or two for every year on my daughter's life ... it's a great way to display all those photos and have proven to make wonderful conversation pieces.  They also make unique Christmas gifts for family.  My daughter does more of the woodburning (generally of Disney characters) and then paints them and coats them.  I'll try to scan some pictures of some of our projects and display them on here in the fairly near future.

My husband and I started a home-based business almost 4 years ago ... Mobile Office Solutions for those on the move.  We install computer and printer brackets in vehicles for those who use their computers on the road.  We have also helped design and build customized 'mobile office' vans.  It's what keeps me busy when I'm not working on my other job or "hobbies".

Recently I've also started my own business, Manuals in HTML, and am doing work for some local businesses.  (to be used on their intranet systems)   They've found that by having the manual on-line, much time is saved because answers are at their fingertips in the click of a key or two (as opposed to thumbing through indexes and pages).  Plus the added benefit of having the manuals in HTML is it takes very little to make changes to them.   If you'd be interested in such a service, feel free to contact me via email.

Our 13 yr old daughter's had her share of successess in art and journalism on the WWW too.  Check out these at her own homepage ... Nykki's Fun Page ... there's some good kids safe links here too (especially if you like The Lion King and Balto!)

And while you're here, why not visit our Siberian Husky's homepage ... Shalun's SiberDen (seems everyone has to have their spot on the WWW nowdays).   See pictures of him from when we got him and through to the beautiful dog he's turned into.  Also read his diary and find out about all the new things  he's learning as he grows up and becomes a responsible citizen. (yeah, right ... well he's getting there!)

*NEW* On March 12, 1999 we got another puppy, Shenuk.  He is born Jan. 18, 1999 - exactly 1 year after Shalun.  Shenuk's part Alaskan Malamute and part Siberian Husky and life is far from boring with 2 dogs now.  Shenuk's also got his own homepage which will be continually being updated as he grows up and I get more pics scanned.

If you've ever had a pet be sure to drop by  Thunder's Memorial Doghouse.   This page started out as his homepage and told about what a wonderful dog he was and about his friends.  However on March 18, 1998 we had to let him cross over to the rainbow bridge so in his memory this page is now a spot to remember all the good times we had with him in his nearly 15 yr with us.  If you've loved a pet and lost it please sign Thunder's guestbook with memories of your special 'fur baby'.

Okay, now to get on with what I put this page on in the first place for ... to introduce my family and other favorite things and to share a little piece of my life for anyone out there who may be interested. :) [Note: I've got several local links here too.]   I will be continually adding to this scrapbook as I get permission to talk about members of my family and/or as new and exciting things happen in my life - (don't hold your breath on the later, though).

As I continue to surf the net I'll continue to add to my favorite sites on the WWW.
