m. Mary McLAREN (1790 - 1873)
- natives of Perthshire, Scotland
- emigrated with 4 young children; had 6 more in Upper Canada
- located on L14 C9 London Township
- built one of first brick houses of area in c.1844

Abraham CUMMING

David DOTY
- issued first patent in London township in Oct. 1821
- follower of Simon Zelotes WATSON who brought settlers to Westminster township.
- served in military, under Daniel SPRINGER, in War of 1812
- located on front south end of L1 Conc.A London township
- by 1821 he had built a mill on his property
- DOTY requested exra land (north L22 C1 Westminster and river lot adjoining it (S part) to build a bridge across the river


John D. GETTY
- located on 100 acres land on N 1/2 of L19 C3 London township
- chosen as Roadmaster of township in January, 1819


Ezekiel GILMAN
- N 1/2 of L25 C2 London tsp
- also appointed Roadmaster in January, 1819


William HARRISON

came from Hull, England in 1818

m. Elizabeth SMIBERT (native of Scotland; d/o James SMIBERT)

- became prominent physician, surgeon & coroner in Perth County

married Rachel CURRIE in 1877 (her father was a member of Parliment)
