Thank you for the beautiful tribute. You are really a beautiful
person. Too many people feel "It is Just A Cat" or any other
animal. We have been given dominion over all animals and with
that goes a large responsibility. I have always noticed that
people who have no regard for animals really are not the nicest
people in the world, and I really do not like to be forced to
associate with them. I have 4 dogs and 3 cats. All have been
rescued, and all are like my children. I would protect one of
them just as surely as I would a child. There is no doubt that
these animals love us, and show it constantly.
Thank you again for the beautiful tribute.

Your site has great meaning to me. Recently we found a siamese
laying in the road. We rushed him to the vet but he had no viable
life. A broken back and neck and severe head trauma. We paid to
have him euthanized. We couldn't find his owners.

Lazerous is a different story. I found him laying in the road
4 months ago in serious condition. The vet thinks he was hit
by the muffler on a car. He had extensive head injuries (broken
left eye orbit, broken upper jaw, broken lower jaw.) Although
he was in pain she felt he could be saved. We started a long
drawn out recovery including surgery, feeding tube, and jaw
wires. I am glad to say that Lazerous has indeed risen from he
dead and is now living with us in happy bliss. He doesn't know
that he is no longer perfect. He does know we love him dearly.

When we found his owners they told us that cats were a dime a
dozen and could be replaced. I know that Lazerous can never be
replaced here in our hearts and home. He is now able to walk and
jump and play with the other cats. He is able to eat without a
feeding tube and is enjoying life as a neuter. His life is indoor
now where he is safe with our other cats.

Thank you for this website. Please keep your cats indoors. Save
them the pain. Save the people who find them broken and dieing,
the pain we feel for them. Love them and cherish them for they
are a special gift from heaven.

Thank you for your tribute. We are in the process of allowing
our little perfect 14-year old Poodle Brandy go to the Rainbow
Bridge and it is making us so sad. I had never heard of Rainbow
Bridge and this morning found it accidentally. I know that
Brandy's soul is already waiting there for us and it is only
her beautiful body that that we are letting go. We love her
dearly and our lives have been immeasurably blessed by this
perfect gift to our lives. Thank you for your gift to us and
to her. Sincerely, Linda McDonell

I am writing this with tears in my eyes, this is a wonderful
tribute to these poor lost souls, and to the poor dox in
another state which a friend told me about who was found on
the side of the road, a victim of a hit and run- thank you

This story made me cry. I have 9 indoor cats and truly love animals.
That is also why my cats are indoor only. I have rescued all but
2 of my cats from the streets. Why do people think that cats can
survive outside on their own? Couldn't they at least take them to
a shelter or try to find a home for them? How can people be so inhumane!
You did the same thing that I would have done with that kitty and
the suffering that the poor thing had to endure... I only have the
thought... "what goes around comes around"... and hope that all
the abusers and abandoners out there get there just dues.

Although I am not what you would consider to be a "cat" person,
I was moved to tears by your memorial page. I can't tell you the
amount of times I have gone out of my way to help an injured
animal (both domestic and wild). How others could see and not care
is beyond my comprehension (even if it's a pigeon on the side of the
road). The world needs more people like you. Thank you.

Your story is touching - animal lovers are great ppl. in my
eyes - just something different about them - it sort of filters
thru into human life and improves all of our days. I truely
believe that animals are put onto this earth to give us
comfort - I know mine did that for me.....

I was very moved by your story. My mother had two cats killed
by cars. I have an old cat (18 years) who does not go out of
the yard and is only out for very brief amounts of time. When
she dies I will definately have an indoor cat.

I thought that was a very sad story, but could be almost any
stray cat. I am glad that kitty didn't die all alone. At least
he had you to help him end his suffering.

I'm still in tears from reading this. Where I live, we have
a cat leash law as well as for dogs. It has helped to cut down
on the dead animals seen along the roadsides, but there are
always those people with the sorry mentality that God intended
for cat to be free roamers. Pets do not need to roam....they
need to be kept indoors where they will be safe and loved.

I weep for those who are forgotten.
I struggle to understand why.
I then hug each of my furbabies and promise them they will never
be forgotten or made to suffer.

What a wonderful site! I'm still teary-eyed from reading it.
My cats are all inside kitties. I'm a groomer and have volunteered
at our local shelters. It always breaks my heart when an animal
is needlessly hurt or euthanized just because people can't take
the responsibility of caring for an animal for life.
It's great that there's a memorial for those who have been forgotten.
Warm Fuzzies,
Laurie

Great job on the page mom... it's a great reminder to all to
keep their cats indoors. For the 21 years I've known you,
you've taught me to love cats and keep them indoors. I even
did a college research paper on it. It's so heartbreaking to
see an animal on the side of the road. They didn't have a
chance, but they would have, if their owners, like us, kept
their cats indoors. Wild animals are for the outdoors, pets
are not. They deserve to live too... not to suffer. People
sh uld have a heart and slow down in neighborhoods. Too many
times have I seen cats killed on the side of the road. They
have feelings too. This page made me cry the whole time and I
hope it makes other people cry too, so maybe they will keep
their cats and pets indoors.

Purrs. I have seen several cats that have gotten hit by cars
in our small town. I always move them off the road. It is
truly amazing that cats can get run over in a 25mph zone. It
makes me so sick that people do this and not even stop to s e
if it has an owner or not. My cat got hit by a car, but only
fractured her jaw and she lived. Thank God. The people did
stop to tell us though. It was a very good thing what you did.

Thank You Renee, It was a story that happens too often, and
needlessly. There is no reason that cat owners should allow
their babies out of doors. They adapt perfectly well to the
inside. I have never allowed a purrbaby of mine to roam outside
They have always lived long and HAPPY lives. Bless you for
caring enough to help this little one.

That was beautiful TP. I know it took over two years for me
to even consider replacing Keasha when she was hit by a
speeding car (Same neighborhood and they never stopped
either). I can still hear Samantha screaming trying to
pick Keasha up. Keasha was just playing chase with Sam
when she got away. To this day I believe Keasha gave her
life for my little girl. I'll never forget her. I have
Sandra D now and I see Keasha in her sweet face everytime I
look at her. I promised Sandy I'd make sure she was trained
"not " to go into the street alone. Love, Di

Wow! The memorial page is absolutely beautiful! Thank you
for caring about that beautiful creature. He was lucky you
found him before he suffered anymore. Let this be a lesson
to all of us that while children may not be out playing at
2 am, critters may be. Slow down! And please try to keep
your babies inside.
TexasPepper, you never cease to amaze us with your beautiful
