LARKIN MOSLEY
Mr. Larkin Mosley, one of the most respected citizens of RedlandTownship, died Sunday at his home near New Edinburg. Mr. Mosley belongedto one of the old and well known families of the county and was a goodcitizen, a good neighbor and a kind and indulgent husband and father. Hiswife, who survives him, was formerly Miss Ida Marks. He leaves onedaughter, Miss Margaret Mosley, who taught here last winter, and foursons, Hugh, Mark, Dee and Ralph Mosley.

attending school in his home town, or county, Mr. McGehee came to PineBluff,
aR. He became a pupil of Dr. Junius Jordan, and later graduated from the
University of AR at Fayetteville. He was a member of the old JeffersonGuards,
a well known local military company, and at the opening of theSpanish-American
war answered the call of Theodore Roosevelt, for men to join his RoughRiders.
His daring won him renown and later his Commander paid especial tributeto his
valor. Mr. McGehee was a heero of the Spanish-American war, and thePhilippine
campaign, bringing forth the comment from his commander, that "MatMcGehee was
one of the bravest men he had ever known." Following the Spanish-Americanwar,
he enlisted for the Philippine campaign, and because of his knowledge of
military tactics, was made scout for the twelfth Regiment and led a picked
company of men through the entire campaign. His bravery in action thereagain
won plaudits, and the newspapers of that day carried accounts of hisdeeds. He
d. 24 Sep 1933. Obit.
