Earth Federation was surprised by the ability of Gundam in the One Year
War, so she decided to process the mass production for Gundam, i.e. GM. With a view to
decrease the cost of mass production, she threw away some of the ability of Gundam. This
made the overall ability of GM much lower than Gundam's. As a result, Ball was developed
to overcome some imperfect ability of GM in the space. Ball's ability was very low but was
economy. It was developed from the general industrial mechanism in the colony. Because of
the low ability of Ball, it always went into the war in lots and with GM. |
